How about we not assume that sane people appropriating mental disorders for attention are a reflection on those with actual mental disorders. Just as a general rule I think that this is a good way to go.

EDIT: Like, apparently this needs explaining, but the vast majority of these Tumblr jerks are teenagers. They're ignorant, they want attention, and they're still trying to figure out who they are because that's something that's constantly changing for them, cuz hey... teens. Fictives, and factives, and shit are fucking ridiculous, but that's all they are, even when someone, like the person I posted in the OP, is being the peak of awful in the way they are ridiculous. To take that ridiculous and to use it as basis for calling someone "insane" and talking about locking them up in a mental institution and giving them dirty looks is just incredibly bigoted and ignorant.

To characterize all ridiculous, awful behavior as "insane" is bigoted against people with actual mental disorders and ignores that "sane" people can be awful and ridiculous. This in turn contributes to the existing culture of bigotry against people with mental disorders which has major negative effects such as people not seeking the treatment they need or having a harder time being involved with society, as society has all these ignorant preconceptions about them.

It also ignores that the vast majority of our mental institutions are shitty and awful.

Just don't do it.

Y'know, I've spent all summer working at a camp for people with disabilities, and today, after a long-ass week, I think "hey, maybe I should see what's up on NPF," and lo and fucking behold, it's the exact sort of ignorant cockshittery that I thought I could escape from this summer. People with attitudes like that make the world so much shittier for disabled people than it already is, and it's already pretty fucking difficult.

whats Ouroboros in this context? I know its snake eating its own tail and is sometimes used to symbolize life and death cycle but neither seems to work here. Is there some other meaning I'm missing?
