Okay, so.

College is kicking my ass right now, so I won't be getting a post up tonight and probably not tomorrow.

Ah, some decent Internet for a change. Looks like the RP is progressing slowly and steadily.

DanteFalcon sent me a PM regarding his past and I'm currently thinking about what I can do with it. So far, all I'm coming up with is character links.

I've been thinking a lot about the sequel these days while working on the sprite comics. Mostly, it's in regards to the problems of upgrades for the sequel. I can't really just say "okay, ten more ranks on the first ten missions", mainly because that would just make you unstoppable.

What I wanna do is create additional functionality to various aspects of the current system, such as creating new attacks for the Slayer weapons which will allow them to deal the more punishing status effects like On Fire, Exhaustion, Plasmaburn, Bad Poison and Deep Freeze. In addition, I know I'll be creating one new class, but possibly two. The Pokemon Ranger is much like a Slayer who befriends local Pokemon to augment his own attacks and other factors, like using Pokemon instead of holding accessories. The other one that may or may not become a real class is the Deckmaster, who will use the Battle Deck system to fight. All I can say is, if that class will exist, any character of that class will usually be an alien, possibly of Eldys's race or even a Knomere and just as likely, they'll all be sided with Eldys, who we all know will be on Impact's side.

Current characters will have the option of transitioning classes should they so choose, so I'll have the mechanics behind it all weeded out for your review in case you happen to be interested.

It's a post!

I wasn't sure if Paradigm Shifted Pokebrids, in this case Whitney, gain Rage when they're attacked. If they do, tell me and I'll make the necessary corrections.

I wanted to try something else with Elizabeth and Pierce's part. Thoughts? Too confusing for you?

Ah, Drac? You forgot to take Lola's ability in consideration. During the next turn or rather presuambly, at the end of the enemy phase, everyone who was healed by Lola gets 50% of the item's recovery item back as health as an additional one time regeneration effect.

Lola used two 50% healing items on everyone she healed (Lola, Whitney and Mirror) for a total of 100% healing each. Thus those three should have gotten another 50% of their health back at the end of the round. Thus Mirror should be at full health, Whitney at 86% and Lola at 87%. Impact still needs healing for sure though...

EDIT: Killdoll L only seemed to have attacked once though. Just mentioning out of honesty and roleplaying sake.

Looks neat otherwise. And I think based on past discussions, pokebrids that are paradigm shifted do not gain rage (hence part of the reason why I was so hoping that paradigm shifts would be payable on a turn by turn basis instead of being locked out of rage for 3 turns.) So I think you did that aspect right.




Looking forward to seeing AB's proposed additions/changes. Renny does have potential for Ranger in him. However, that's quite a long time away. During the sequel apparently.

BTW, I am considering altering my character's upgrade development since some of the features like the RDPA seems a little out of character now that I think of it a bit more. Thus considering putting something else more appropriate in its place. But I won't waste everyone's time with that until a bit later when we know Renny's form.

As for Pierce's battle with Elizabeth, it's not confusing, I got no issues with it, and continue with that if you will. ^^


Anyhow, battle plan is pretty much more of the same. If the other attack of Kill Doll L happens to knock out Impact, Lola will spend 25 rage to revive Impact before healing him to full. the reviving process should also trigger the Vengeful Rage trait, giving him 50 rage.

Lola: Double Heal Impact. 100% heal and 50% regen at end of enemy phase. No rage spent (30 rage)
Whitney: Sends out Masquerain. It does Bug Buzz on Kill Doll F for STAB damage, presumably knocking it out since it's already weak. Whitney does STAB paradigm shift boosted Blizzard on Killdolls G and H, presumably knocking those out like before. (40 rage)
Mirror: Construct Fire Evolith for 50 rage as a free action. (15 rage) Attack Kill Doll M.
Fire Evolith: Attack Kill Doll J and K with Heat Wave with Slayerish power.
Impact: Sweep Attack for 25 rage on Kill Doll J and K. (50 rage)


As far as I can tell, the hard part is over for this battle.

Bard, on the other hand, needs to start burning some Rage.

Killdoll L attacked Impact twice. The number was a typo.

As for Lola's healing ability, I thought I'd have it take effect at the start of next turn, but yeah, using it at the end of turn phase makes more sense.

Just count yourself lucky I'm not having it take effect at the end of turn phase NEXT turn. Because I seriously considered doing that, just to be a dick.

As for Elizabeth and Pierce, I started it off pretty light, because I wasn't sure. It'll get wackier next post.

Cool. ^^ Gem, what do you think of the plan I made above?

I figured that making the regeneration thing at the end of turn made more sense. Kinda like healing at the very start of the next round.

As for Elizabeth and Pierce, they are both your characters. AB's character, Violet, is staying out of it. So go ahead as you see right. It seems all good by far. Might as well do it now as a cutscene action plot, since Drac doesn't have slayer levels and thus should not plausibly be able to fight with a Dragon Slave in actual combat now that Trainer Attack was removed.

Okay, if I remember correctly, AB said Trainer Attack wasn't removed.

It became a Trainer Action availabe at Trainer level 1, and doesn't count toward the other five Trainer Actions.

I'm pretty sure that Trainer Attack was removed. Not that it bothers me in particular. I never used it, and anyone branching out into Slayer or Pokebrid or Demon probably won't need it either.

Last thing I recall, though, yeah, it was made a trainer action available at Trainer 1.

Dracorion is right. The attack is available at level 1 at no cost to any other upgrade, still lending five other action choices. This is mainly due to a very small effective potential behind it compared to Slayers. After all, Slayers have exponentially higher stats, the armor affinity that adds STAB if they're wearing the same type of armor as the weapon they use, and the chance of critical hits. Actions, at least the free attack action, has none of these benefits, just the near neglible benefit of having a type attack, like Pierce's Dragon Slave and Charlotte's Poison Shotgun.
