But even then I think from a philosophical perspective for a society to function properly we need to acknowledge that there are degrees of acts, not just the form of an act. And the consequences of those acts need to be taken into account.
So yes, both you and I engaged in Bigotry. The form of bigotry is acknowledged in each of us. But the moral reprehensibility of the actual acts themselves are not so equivalent.
