I nearly did move to the south twice back when I identified as a conservative, but it never quite panned out.
That's fortunate, too, as if I did move to either north-central Florida or South Carolina, I'm guessing I would have found a bubble of like-minded conservative friends and acquaintances, eventually quit out of NPF entirely after a few too many heated political arguments with the progressives here, and I'd never wake up out of my Republican-induced trance.

That being said, I'll still reiterate with about 95% certainty that even conservative Republican 2005-era Snake would have really disliked Donald Trump.

Spending the last hour reading various old threads and posts in this forum brought up several very different emotions. Yearning for better times, appreciating how many of us have grown over the years, being able to see how NPF synkr0nized lined up with high and low points in my life, both directly (happy and good things aligning with playful threads and posts; more angry ones from low times) and indirectly (rough points being when I probably leaned on the forum more for social interaction).

For all of you still logged in and reading, thank you for these memories. Yes, you. While I've got definite cold feet about reaching out to a few of you these days, I think of how folks are doing sometimes here and there and hope you are all doing well, even if you're not posting in this thread.
