Because he created a time paradox by mistake. and now he can't touch free will.

By sending White Mage to the beginning of all (making her present there before HE was), she existed before he had the power to make her not exist. Thus, forcing him to to push everyone around so that they out of their "free will" (with some backstage manipulation) would do what he wanted to do, but couldn't, because messing with white mage would mess with everything, and messing with the light warriors would inevitably affect WM.

He can't touch her by his own fault.

She needed fated warriors of light to save the world. She stll has SOME faith on everyone who isn't black mage, specially fighter.

So, Sarda couldn't mess with them too much without getting her in the way... but he could use both to do whatever the hell he is trying to do... so he tells people to do stuff for him, and he tosses them near the stuff he wants done... but they do out of their own free will. Even is Sarda is threatening their lives f they don't comply, it still out of their own free will.

So, you must ask... "and what about the Onion kid"?

Well, for that, there is a simple answer... he is more likely a very special sacrifice waiting to happen.

What makes you think she was there before he had the power to do anything? It's not like she took any power away from him or anything, just she made the universe before he did. She didn't gain any special powers, it was because the universe was new. Anyone could have done it if they were there. Why isn't he able to do anything to her? It's after she already created the universe (which isn't even the right word, she didn't create the universe she just molded it into what would become the current universe). Hell, even if it was before then he could still destroy her if he wanted, all it would mean is that he would go back to being the one who molded the universe. So yeah, I'd like to know why you think he can't do anything to White Mage.

Few things about that. Just because he has omniscience that doesn't mean he can't be surprised. You can watch a movie several times and still be surprised by a certain scene. Even though you already knew it was going to happen you weren't really thinking about it so it surprises you. Depending on how his omniscience works it could have been something similar.

He could have also just been acting like he was surprised. He has said before when they did something like that that he knew they were going to do it before they were born or something along those lines.

Maybe he is just not using his all knowing mind because he is bored and this whole thing with the Light Warriors is like a game for him. It wouldn't be a very fun game if you know exactly what is going to happen.

So, while yes we can be pretty sure there is something going on with Sarda that we are not yet fully aware of, until it actually is revealed there is nothing we can do but accept that he is all powerful and that right now there is absolutely jack shit the rest of the cast can do to him.

There's no reason we HAVE to accept he's all-powerful, I sure haven't just because he didn't poof all the fiends away and magic up the orbs for himself. Yeah, it's yet to be seen what's really going on with Sarda, but I stopped buying into his "I'm all powerful, now fuck off before I do something that demonstrates my power without it actually doing anything useful to my goals!" bull some time ago.

Pretty much everyone has, that has nothing to do with the point. The point is until the truth behind Sarda is actually revealed there isn't much that can be done and that right now he is the most powerful character in the comic until revealed otherwise.

Actually, Sarda has never claimed to be omniscient. Just omnipotent. The two can be exclusive. Sarda can easily claim to be all-powerful, but he has never outright claimed to be all-knowing. It may have seen a few hints, but it's never been stated outright, giving him possible precognition, but not necessarily on a universal scale.

So he is not omniscient.
