As for real advice, have you looked around to see if there are any other options? The options presented, seem to be all or nothing. Let's say you go to SA, and the job doesn't pan out.

Then you're stuck there, and have to figure something out. Not that this isn't true of any job, but my preference would be on a job that's a tad closer to home.

I live as mathmatically far away from home as possible.
Any job I take that is not here actually brings me closer to home.
This is why where I can get a visa is a reasonable issue, my UK visa runs out in a few months.

Where you go to school & where you set up roots, are two different things. I don't really know the exact terms of any of your potential opportunities, but they sound tenuous, in the way you describe them.

I guess you need to look at your options & determine which feels the most comfortable. If the answer is D, none of the above. Maybe you might want to reexamine your options, that's all I'm saying.

You probably mean farthest away in terms of distance, but wouldn't being on the ISS or something be farther away in the difficulty of getting from one to the other?

Update- I can't really "stay where my roots are", I don't really have any. I moved away from home when I was like 18, been travelling the world since. Staying in one place is for hobos.

that said I've applied for some jobs in Australia and New Zealand because those are the only countries where te weather isn't stupid like all of Europe/America.
But the saudis want me to come visit for a bit while I finish off my contract here so I;'m going to go over there for a month or so and they put me up in a sweet hotel apparentely.
Like a sweet sitcom I'm playing both sides and still keepin gthe UCL open (that one not start till April) so they just chasing down my references and checking out whether I will get a new visa before they make an offer.
Mostly I just want to live in a hotel.
