If sarda wanted to die, to be Onion kid's foster parent, plan the events to give BM the power of various elemental fiends (maybe hell, too) and 'give' BM the chance to get the ultimate power of blue magic is a way to go.
Does Sarda want to suicide by cop to escape? ... I doubt it!
