AB, a question here for the sake of in-story context/depth.

Does PATCA pays well? You know, enough to get a decent living and benefits, pay for food, housing and some personal luxuries? Do some of those things get subsidies or so, since the employees are effectively soldiers and trained experts risking their lives and such? Also, are they paid regular salaries where they have duties even outside of specific missions or is it unreliable part time job where they are only paid on the basis of each mission

I was just wondering because Moon has a business on the side (extra job) and several of the other characters either were already wealthy or had jobs or professions before joining PATCA, hence I was wondering if working for PATCA alone is enough to pay the bills. I thought it might be an interesting thought regarding how the PCs and NPCs operate, especially outside of PATCA missions.

Harliette: My idiot boyfriend Mouse mistook his container of super adhesive for personal lubricant. I can't leave the house stuck to him naked and I don't want strangers to see this either! It's fucking embarressing and the moron is still on Jenny's shit list!!!
Lola: ... why did you choose to date him again?
Harliette: It certainly wasn't for his brains! Probably why DICKHEAD HERE is on her list in the first place! *Lola overhears the two of them explode into an argument as she hangs up and head-desks.*

EDIT: Alternatively, Lola starts daydreaming if she was stuck in a similar mess, perpetually attached to a lover, forgetting the not so romantic parts like the obvious pains and difficulties of getting out of the sticky situation!

... Yeah.
Excuse me if I misportrayed Mouse. I kinda envisioned him as the someone a bit rougher around the edges, too much testosterone and hates thinking unless it's about a topic that motivates him.

PATCA pays plenty well. Assuming your character isn't the kind of person who lives paycheck to paycheck ("Fuck yeah, I'm supersizing everything!"), getting a decent apartment or even buying a house (you can live in the PATCA building, after all, saving up lotsa money) isn't farfetched at all.

Just don't expect to have a mansion like Thugnificent anytime soon.

Although I'm inclined to believe that Renny will turn out exactly like that.

Mouse looks like your typical bad boy, but he's kind and intelligent and polite and is genuinely in love with Harliette...

Which is why I can't wait to see how it turns when he discovers the new relationship Harliette has with Melanie.

Then WHY is he a wanted criminal in the first place? Unless he had an accident that looked like a crime, was framed, or is being chased for "harmless crimes" like copying music CDs, I could hardly imagine why someone who has those traits would act like a criminal and thus be targeted by the police (unless said police was corrupt to begin with).

However, I do have a question regarding it.

And now we're told

"Believe it or not, Faynoc is a married man. I dunno how a woman can be batshit enough to wed that weirdo, but apparently someone exists because a wedding happened, and eventually a child resulted between the dysfunctional pair. You know who that is, right?"

So, what is the truth? I admit I was under the impression that Moera was basically his most loyal convert after he killed off her sexually abusive parents. And yet, he's one of her parents in the first place and "rescued her".
Unless she was given away for adoption at some point (you honestly believe Faynoc could put off his work to raise a child) and that's where it all started or something. But then, one wonders why Faynoc killed her adoptive parents in the first place, unless they were acting against his scientific interests. It's not like he would have cared where she was or what anyone was doing to her.


Of course, I could just be overthinking it and it's merely just PLOTHOLE or Moera talking shit in the middle of combat (although it seems like a weird thing to lie about since she seemed so very proud of the fact).
