I got mine back in '08 from doing something Mac liked.

Sorta depresses me that he's gone every time I look at it. He was a good punching bag.

I picked up more when I did the DF LP, and I've been considering doing another one. Now that the vast majority of the bugfixes are out, that is. I'm fairly sure I could run a fortress into the dust quite easily in an entertaining manner. What with vampires and husks and all sorts of horrible crazy shit. Or is it crazy horrible shit?

Of course, the fact that it took me two years to be funny at all, and I still have yet to decipher the humor index on this forum...

Putting me off a touch.

We should reset Fifth's rep count so he can enjoy this magical moment with us.

Mine was on 4/7/07 by Fenris, meaning it took me almost a year to be anything resembling funny or interesting.

Already done once IIRC, unless that was the point of your post.

Everyone's rep was reset about... what, five or six years ago? That whole rep war thing where people would literally put 'rep me!' in just about every one of their posts. And I was guilty of that myself. Silly old self, seeking out validation from green boxes on the internet.

It's weird how the more rep people have, the more they say it's meaningless.

Also, as I've pointed out before, I've made plenty of great posts which never got rep but then I get rep for, say, posting in a thread about discussing rep.

Which is why I totally want to get rid of some specific points of my rep 'cause meh.

Edit: Shit, yeah, I just checked, 9 out of the 22 positive reps I've gotten were from threads about rep discussion.

This seems ironic or something, because I'm bitching about rep and I'm probably getting repped for it.

I always maintained that having rep was the devil, and that I would would solace my one cube (at the time) forever. So of course, everyone patronised me by giving me too much rep.

Also, Whomper immediately ruined my 666. A thousand curses upon him.

Default I don't feel like digging through threads to find if this happened or not.

No, but, I thought we reset his rep more recently upon his request (not that it takes Fifth long to get rep).

Keep in mind that this is also a forum where people get rep'd for dumping links to and images from other people's sites simply because they may be funny. Though the other side of the spectrum is also true, as I have definitely gathered a nice chunk of rep from helping fellow posters or answering questions.

e: the spectrum being something about the originality and actual poster's contribution to the post being rep'd

But, yeah, they're just little green boxes. Though I hear you that someone with a lot of them may find it much easier to say that than someone with a smaller amount.
