Second thought edit: Can't they at least Speak With Dead to find out who took it? I think if you want to keep secrets in this world, you've got to ruin the mouths of the bodies for starters.

Xycon said something about having so many enchantments on there that he forgot what half of them did, and when Varsuvius crashed his party the only thing that actually freaked out Xycon was the idea of his right-hand-goblin dying (he was wearing it) and when V attempted to send the phylactery into the rift. This basically sounds like an artifact that they have to throw into Super Mordor or some shit to destroy.

If I were a betting man I'd take that bet. How long would he keep it secret? And for what? Him and Xykon staying in Azure City doesn't really help his conquering the world, and the phylactery is the only reason they're still there, and nothing but the phylactery is going to get Xykon moving.

Wait, did they rename the city? I don't remember.
