Renny... Renny can be, like, our team's rancor. We keep him in a pit full of love and caring and cute pokemon and if anyone defies us we throw them down to Renny so that he hugs them to death.

And Impact doesn't hate Renny. He's just not a very huggy person.

And who knows, maybe Renny's unconditional love for pokemon will teach Impact an important lesson about friendshi-AHAHAHAHANO.

At any rate, if there is one thing that Renny would support, it's seperating pokemon from violent and uncaring trainers. So he could turn out to be the "official face" of the "police" that works on such cases.

... Except I imagine Charlotte would try to backstab him before he does the same to her.

Being the "official face" means lying through your teeth while keeping up a friendly, believable face.

Not "cunningly misled" like Renny would have to be.

And really, I was planning to have Impact get Renny on his side through simple honesty. Confide in him, tell him what's happened, have deep, meaningful discussions. Renny's kind enough to see other people's points of view, as long as they're not malicious, and Impact can go non-malicious.
And if discussion and persuasion don't work, there's always revovlers and hired hitmen.

EDIT: Just out of curiousity, am I doing ok as a player/trainer? I know everyone is making fun of Renny and how much he "sucks", but I hope I'm not really doing that badly. Heck, I was thinking that even if everyone thinks he is annoying and such, there is probably a lingering feeling that he is at least "useful" or "talented" or whatever. (Or at least I would hope.) ^^;

Hell no, he's a great fighter. The only problem we (or at least Impact) has is the hugging bit. And the occasional naivete. A lot of our group are chaotic neutral or evil, whereas Renny's a full-on Lawful good. There's bound to be conflict, but it's real fun RPing with you. And his tactics are good as well, no problem there.
