Perhaps it was a subtle jab at yon prediction threads/posts/givers. That we will never know for sure if we could accurately predict anything in the future of the comic, or if Brian gets ideas from people's predictions IN THE FUTURE or both or neither! He further taunts us by saying that we should have seen it all coming, but we didn't. But should've. Didn't though.

Or it's a metaphor for the duality of mankind?

One thing REALLY ALWAYS annoys me about fantasy stuff like this.

Okay, Chaos is the embodiment of ... chaos and evil.

And the Wyte Crue are the embodiment of law and good.

So... why does that mean that Chaos loses? Why don't they just self-annihilate like antimatter? They shouldn't be able to defeat Chaos any more instantly than Chaos could defeat them... if anything, that diminishes the 'scary' factor of Chaos in the sense that he's a supernatural godlike being embodying all of chaos, entropy, and evil, and can shape worlds with his will, and he gets defeated by what effectively could've been any retard in a white robe who studied White Magic. So Chaos is less powerful than a single random jerk. What?

I could go into traditional good vs. evil or order vs. chaos narrative cliches, but in this case the point, as always, is that the Light Warriors were too dumb to do it.

They were four, extremely powerful White Magic learning random jerks (one of whom created the universe- even by accident) whose way of defeating Chaos will be shown via flashback in the next comic.
That's kind of different from a single retard in a white robe.

They're calling again.

White Mage is still praying. I have a feeling they're gonna take a shot at Black Mage once this story time is over.

And once again, I'm convinced that anything in this comic where Chaos plays a part is completely full of Epic Win. He's easily keeping his place among my favorite characters. Totally worth the extra few days of waiting.

...And with that out of the way, I'm curious to see how they deal with the "Light Warriors." I wouldn't find it hard to believe that they'd smack Black Mage around for a bit now that Chaos has been dealt with (But honestly, it wouldn't surprise me to see BM getting smacked around regardless of who's doing the smacking).

I hope that's you being facetious.

If not, you've completely missed the point of the entire series.

Great comic B-rye. Might I be the first to wonder if the real reason Chaos was shrunk again was because giant Chaos would've been tougher to frame for the White Warriors versus Chaos flashback?

I'd just like to point out that "Chaos is too tall" would still be a perfectly accurate description for this.

Wait.

People still think 8-Bit has anything to do with any canon?

They have talking 8 sided dice.

As long as Black Mage lives, I'm not sure Chaos loses.
