I did a lot of posting on here as a teenager, and I was pretty awful. Even after I learned, grew up, and came to be on the right side of a lot of important issues, I was still angry, abrasive, and generally increased the amount of hate in the world, in pretty unacceptable ways. On the off chance that someone is taking a trip down memory lane looking through those old threads, I wanted to devote my signature to say directly to you, I'm sorry.

It's clearly destiny. Somehow our fates have become entwined and this revelation is like, the 6th or 7th seal before the coming of the End Times.

And speaking of the End Times, any word yet on exactly that's supposed to go down? Are we like, gona get all Ragnarokian up in here and have a big war where the dead (read; the Banned) return to us, the spam bots finally break through the Last Great Firewall and the Midgard Serpent (I have no idea what that would even be in this analogy) wakes up and then we all have a great big war where we all kill each other? Or are we going with a more Revelations esq route where the innocent get Raptured to the Promised Land (read; gain early access to the new site) leaving this rest of us to fight it out for 7 years of war, battling over the limited remaining resources (bandwidth space) amid endless earthquakes and rains of fire (wherein the mod forum opens up for all to see and everyone is given mod powers to abuse, deleting/locking/moving each others posts/threads/accounts on a whim)?

Or is this just a boring old heat death type affair, where everything just breaks down slowly over time until nothing's left? Because that last one is distinctly less metal than the others and I feel it would be a disservice to the ancient prophecies of the NPF (we do have ancient prophecies, right?) if we took that option.

I'll give plenty of notice when I decide to shut it down. I took into account everyone's feelings about not wanting to lose history vs. not wanting to keep it and am trying to find a strategy that allows for that but which also allows me to stop lugging around gigabytes worth of database and the headache that comes with that.

I'll keep you guys posted. Not in a good headspace to think right now but wanted to address.
