Enemy Snipers = No Action, Enemy Destroyer Damage = 40%, Frontline Enemy Accuracy = 50%. - Donovan (Brid Act): Uses Internal Flying Action (+1 Att). - Donovan (Stratshift): Donovan attempts to rely on his Infiltrator ability in order to bypass Blackpearl's protection. This is a very successful strategy. In order to get around Whitepearl and Ginnungagap Mk II to strike against Blackpearl, Donovan would need unparalleled speed and reflexes. Heh. He figured he could do it. - Donovan (Stratshift): Donovan attempts to break BlackPearl's Lock-On move by getting inside her attack range. This strategy didn't work. The Auxilary Weapon mounted on Blackpearl's shoulder didn't seem to have a minimum range requirement...unless maybe Donovan was close enough to dry hump one of her legs. Then again, since Blackpearl wasn't actually locked on to him anymore, it was impossible to know if Blackpearl was even going to be aiming for him next. - Donovan (Attack): Uses Capacitor Rod on Blackpearl (x5). OOC: AB said we'll be ending the fights this round, so we don't need to get all caught up in the battle results. I'm just including the rough draft results of the plan I came up with so as to validate the roleplaying aspect.
Gist of Battle Plan ------------------------------------------------------------------ "I think we're about at the end of this little skirmish, wouldn't you say?" Moeni asked casually. "Time and fate have dictated that this is not where you are meant to die, nor that I shall be the one honored to deliver you to your final moment. So let us finish this with haste, shall we? I'm a rather busy villainess." Renny gritted his teeth, exceedingly pissed off by the Moeni's unrepentant smugness and villainy. The enemy forces were still going strong and Moeni herself showed no signs of aggravation either physically or emotionally even after several head-on assaults from Harliette. On the other hand, Pierce was promptly ejected, and Lola was desperately choking back her tears to support her suicidally vengeful sister drug-addled rampage. "We've been played for fools the whole time..." Renny looked quickly behind him, scanning the other half of the team's battle composition. The entire length of the battlefield was enveloped in 100% pure Fog of War, one of the mechs having fled and the other two heavily damaged. Then he looked back at the field his group was occupied with. Sam was still sleeping, Harliette was poised to attack any moment even as her body was torn apart from the massive rush of nigh infinite amount of rage energy shoved into her body... "Lola, trust me on this! Send out Rapidash in Snorlax's place! Have it listen to me for a sec!" *Assuming AB will allow the following to occur* The Lopunny pokebrid switched out the large pokemon and sent out the graceful and fast unicorn pokemon whose speed was dashing from the boost that Snorlax passed on, even as it reared up painfully from the poison spikes laid on the ground. It probably looked a little frustrated being sent out this way, but its attention was directed toward Renny by Lola. "Sorry about that, but it won't take long! Point your Hypnosis that way! Mollesk, support Rapidash!" Renny pointed his finger straight at Harliette, not wanting to give away his intention to disrupt her kamikaze attack. The flame horse bolted with superior speed in front of frustrated shock-trooper and glared heavily within her eyes, a soulful ember dancing furiously within its eyes even as Mollesk exherted some unusual cosmic influence that stemmed from his moon-stone evolution. Harliette stumbled over in a deep sleep without fail like a marionette with cut strings. Renny ran up toward Lola, as he apologized profusely. "You were absolutely right, Lola. This fight was just a senseless mess and we got caught up in their pace. We should have just focused on getting the both of you back. We still have to save Charlotte and we don't have time for all of this nonsense. But now we have the best possible chance to escape, and take Sam back with us. But only if we act now." He then adjusted his visor for a moment. "Bloody Rose, with your permission I'm ordering a retreat to regroup back at Impact's location. He then looked earnestly toward Lola. "Help me prep my Rage Rocket. We need to hurry before they try to interfere." The two quickly managed to rummage through his gear, as the medic injected the vial of rage into the youth. Without wasting a moment, he channeled his personal energy into yet another wave of Serene Blessing. Unlike all the previous ones however, Renny sought to siphon all the excess rage from the sleeping Harliette, reducing the immediate harm that the drug would have wracked as it coarsed within her blood. Easily a hundred worth of rage energy was converted as a temporary but indomitable barrier that shielded each and every single one of their side from harm... and was also applied to Sam on the other side even as she slept. Renny beckoned the Rapidash to approach as he help lifted the prone and exhausted sister onto its back. "Lola, take Harliette and yourself onto Rapidash and go through the Fog of War as fast as you're able." Renny then sent a message over to Pierce who was probably some distance away and coming back after being ejected. "Pierce, don't bother coming back to this side. We're retreating, and we're going to take Sam with us, so take Daphne and hurry over to Impact's location!" Renny then looked at Mollesk urgently and firmly. "Mollesk, WRAP your tentacles AROUND Sam," Renny ennunciated every word so as to avoid another tentacle related accident, as he pointed at Sam "and CARRY her over to Pierce." Renny swooped his finger from Sam and directed it to Pierce a bit off into the distance. "LESK!" Even as Mollesk wrapped several strands of tentacles that bounded up Sam and snatched her from her group, the PATCA teams on both side scrambled and started to make way back, protected several times over by his blessings and the fog of war which hindered the opposing force's vision. Mollesk used some of its spare tentacles to stretch across the field, bury it within the ground and pull itself toward it, even as Sam was carried overhead. Renny redirected Metagross, who was temporarily master-less to head back to Pierce, a request that he felt would be heeded without complaint. The Gallade glared for a brief instance toward Moeni, whom imprinted into his memory with disdain. If there was any small consolation, there was an odd sense of smugness if he had managed to inconvenience the detestable witch for putting an unsatisfying end to her battle with her estranged daughters. Ray showed up, looking a lot better than before the battle. "I'm fit to go with you this time," he told Renny. "What lies ahead could very well be a trap, and you'll need all the help you can get." Lucian volunteered to guard Sam, which was probably for the best. He could keep her from harming anyone or herself, yet was gentle enough in restraining her to not aggravate any wounds or cause her discomfort. "I don't praise him for this, but he's really nice to girls," Discord said. "I think she's waking up," he reported. "I wonder if she knows anything about what's ahead?" As they regrouped along with Impact's side, Renny had Mollesk lower Sam's sleeping form near Pierce and some other PATCA agents guarding her.
"There you go Pierce... I hope things work out between the two of you... If you excuse me, I'm sure we both got someone we want to talk to." Patting Mollesk's head appreciatively, he recalled the pokemon and walked over to Lola, Harliette and Rapidash, as he thought of what to say. He petted the horse pokemon apologetically for its trouble with Harliette and for being sent out among the poison spikes. All the revelations of the previous battle made the air feel thick with tension. "She won't wake up, but she's still breathing," Lola reported. "She's probably going to be crippled for at least a couple weeks. I'm sorry, Renny, but I think I'd like to stay with her, if only to make sure she doesn't kill herself. I'm sure she'll blame us for letting Moeni get away." "Yeah, that's fine. I was going to ask you to stay with her and the rest of the inactive group for this mission." Renny said slowly. "This sort of reunion... I would guess you both would need time to adjust. I'm sorry that... everything happened like this." Renny hugged her firmly. Renny walked away for a bit before turning back, glancing toward Lola and pointing toward Harliette. "If she wakes up, tell her this for me. 'There will be another chance, and we'll fight Moeni AND win on our terms. I'm not going to allow anyone to suffer being a tool in her schemes. Until then, we'll get even stronger.'" Soon after, Ray came toward Renny, looking in a lot better shape. "I'm fit to go with you this time. What lies ahead could very well be a trap, and you'll need all the help you can get." The main thing being that Myrie, Professor Ricewood's daughter, who was involved with Moeni for a time in Black Cradle is acting as a spokesperson for Nosferastu in Corpsemire. If Sam here happens to know little about what is going on, then heading to the Corpsemire as previously planned would not only be our best bet for finding Myrie, but possibly our best lead toward finding Black Cradle. Unless Donovan and Hyacinth's team discovered something..." *Minutes after* After Renny talked with Ray for a bit, he searched for Catherine and came back to her side with a bit of a run. "Catherine! Are you alright!?" He hugged her with a degree of affection. "Sorry that Pierce and I had to ditch you and the main group like that. I doubt Lola and Harliette could have managed that entire group by themselves. Your occupying the mechs did us all a huge favor. I really owe you one. Renny thought for a little moment as he looked at her, making sure she was fine. "Anyhow, do you feel like sticking close with me for the next part? Impact thinks it's going to be a tough one. Out of curiousity, I did see the process by which two Pokemon are fused into a PokeWeapon. It...seemed painless, kind of like being processed into a Pokebrid. In fact, I'd say it's exactly like that, except the human is also a Pokemon. Still, there's no real telling just how Pokemon feel about their bodies being altered like that."
"But I digress. Everytime we hear reports of 'never before seen' or 'unusual' Pokemon, we deploy to investigate. Fiend Pokemon are often very hostile to humans and other Pokemon on top of being quite a bit more powerful, and are a danger to all walks of life. There's a place deep underground where they dwell, and they're not supposed to be able to escape from there, but sometimes there are breaches and anywhere from one to a full squad might find themselves out here. Me and all other members of the Black Page Society are specially armed, armored, and trained to handle and defeat Fiend Pokemon. It was already too late to react when Whitepearl's attack hit Donovan, in his intent to strike at Blackpearl the only forewarning he got was noticing the ebb of rage created by the attack, then a flash of vision toward the darker world before he woke up, feeling the sensation of the Revive in his body.
Getting up and watching the others recuperate, he took the moment of serenity away from the usual Rage saturation to gather the situation. He put his shades back on and began checking his pistols as he approached Renny. "So did we get any of them, or was it a full retreat on their part?" The slide slammed into place with a resounding and precise clang, an oddly soothing sound for Donovan. "This outfit can rely on you to maintain formation during our next fight, right?" |

Renny looked moderately contrite as he replied. "I'm sorry that Pierce and I, err, ditched the formation. The situation pretty much demanded it. But, you guys pulled off your side quite well. Whitepearl especially looked like she really had been messed with."
The Gallade pokebrid looked toward Donovan and Hyacinth with an approving nod as he continued to answer the queries with his arms crossed. "Anyhow! Along with rescuing Lola and Harliette, we technically stole away one of their attacker and supporter, who happens to be related to Pierce." Renny pointed toward Sam briefly, "Confirming her condition and rescuing her has been a side-objective for a while. So we managed to accomplish that! It'll be a net-win for us if we can also get back Charlotte. Considering she is their hostage right from the start instead of a potentially active agent in heated combat, I don't expect that we'll be splitting up our forces again in order to support her." |
