Anyone else here looking into Dauntless?

For those unaware, Dauntless is basically an online version of Monster Hunter that purports to be free to play, with pay options going towards cosmetics to keep "pay to win" styles under control. You and a team of up to three other hunters go out from the main city and beat up giant monsters, strip their corpses, and make cooler, better gear from the spoils....then go do it some more.

It's in closed Alpha right now with a closed Beta on the horizon, then an open beta, and hopefully a full launch by sometime near the end of this year.

If someone were to be in the alpha, which they wouldn't disclose because of an NDA, they might say that the game is shaping up to be pretty neat. They might also say that the game is currently a bit rough around the edges because it sounds like the game is in an actual Alpha and not a glorified demo. So someone in the alpha might possibly come to the conclusion that it's a bit early to judge the game but that they are keen to see where it goes.
