I have what's going to be my final Facebook post for quite some time all drafted out. It's kind of a farewell to my continued pretense of an existence in communal life. I'm in a mood right now that I don't see going away for a very long time, and it's a mood where I don't want to interact with anyone else in this country, because I kind of hate everyone and everything in this country right now.

I didn't feel this way in any previous election. There were genuine moments where I wondered if Romney would win in 2012, and that thought scared me, but not like this.

I don't think I'm going to seriously hurt myself or anything that dire. I do think in the wake of the financial forecasts, I will stop applying to jobs under the assumption that it will now be effectively impossible for any of us left behind by the market to find new employment. I'll just play videogames and waste away what little savings I have left, refuse any interaction with friends here (the majority of whom either overtly supported Trump or, at the very least, refused to support Clinton out of some progressive holier-than-thou "She's going to win anyway, so no deals with lesser devils" bullshit) then stagger into a situation where I'll either have to prop up the illusion that this is going to get better to indulge my father's curiosity and get him to lend me money, or I'll just become some sort of traveling vagrant and maybe buy a one-way ticket to New Zealand and see what the hell happens as a penniless foreigner out there.

Congratulations, Comey. You've gotten what you wanted. I hope it was worth sacrificing your conscience.

EDIT: It comes down to: Can Hillary gain 70,000 votes on Trump in Wisconsin? Can she make up her deficit in Michigan? And, can she hold Pennsylvania?
If yes to all three, we might somehow survive this.
If no to any of those three, it is over.
