But the main difference is the WiiU version runs in 720p while the Switch version runs in 900p when docked, and 720p when in handheld mode. All the other differences are very minor and you are unlikely to notice anything unless you know exactly what to look for. And both versions have framerate drops in busy areas (mainly areas with lots of trees and tall grass). I put about 80 hours into the game on the WiiU and had a blast. The frame drops are rather jarring, but again those are in both versions so getting a Switch won't fix that.

Yeah, not a fan of the framerate drops. The worst I've had yet was in a forest in the rain and it got really sloooowwww. Outside of that single complaint I am loving the hell out of this game.

The latest update seems to have largely fixed the frame rate drops. Running much smoother, even in the previously rough area.
