I suggest collapsing all the subforums into a single "battle royale" board, for which the sole purpose is arguing in favor of receiving a promotion or the dispensing of demotions or restriction to "the pit," a second board which one may only exit by being what is deemed the most intolerable resident. Following about a year of this system, every member shall have been cycled through the pit several times, ingrained the lessons learned there, and brought that mentality into the primary arguing board. Then we will become something pure.

Alternatively, just replace the forum with quotes from youtube comments and CNN article chat for about a week. This should definitely scare most everyone straight, and those whom it does not were probably destined for a life of hate crimes anyways.

In all seriousness, I'm sad that I've missed all this shit. Snake of all people gone, who knows who else (haven't quite caught up on all the recent huge threads yet) and chat is dead as a doornail (though that part isn't so much surprising as it is disappointing).

Anyone got any contact info on snake? Don't want to convince him to come back, just want to apologize for not being here and see if keeping in touch via other means would be cool.

There are a couple of ways to contact Snake, but, since I don't know what he's made known to whom, as with any member here I will only pass on what we all have access to: his forum profile. In case Steam doesn't work for you.

Here you will find that you have the means to send a PM, which may ping his email account and cause him to read it; leave a visitor message in case he ever does log in to his profile page, though I think most people have stopped using these entirely; toss an IM via the AIM name listed; or send an email through the forum to the address he's associated with his forum account.

In any case, he's a nice guy, so I am sure he wouldn't mind a, "Hello!" if you wanted to get in touch with him.

You think you've got it bad, I sometimes post in threads and then the thread dies immediately after I drop my two cents, because everyone stopped caring about the topic before I even posted.

In my opinion, if'n you've gotten issues or desires to talk with other forumites, Steam is your best bet if you can join either of the two Steam Groups. Beyond that, yeah, their profile.

Though when I was banned, I couldn't get to Snake's profile to get his deets and talk about urgent matters, so it only works if you've been to his profile beforehand and/or not currently banned.

If i have any bothers lodge on the throat it would just be that i felt completely bullshitted at the last ban... but i can manage. I mean, i've been in this forum for whats quickly amounting to 10 god damn years, and i know some of you suckers who have been here LONGER... i mean, damn!

So, i felt annoyed by it and just went "well, fuck this shit!", of course, i wouldn't make a thread about it cause, as previously mentioned, fuck that shit...

But here is the thing about depositing quarters on this little slot machine of emotions that is NPF... you go to a website, and you see some funny or geeky news and you think "Oh man, that would make a fun thread on NPF...", so you know this thing has a claim on your soul...

Then, i'm goofing off on steam... playing Guns of Icarus online, and i stumble at Arcanum manning the ship i was in, and that wen't to hell fast... then i took the helm and THAT went to hell really really fast. And i remember that steam night is fun and live streams from forum members are fun...

Then, i come here... and i see the usual "jokinglyish" thread of "lets shit on one another" that always (and forever) ends up as a big group therapy session for lunatics, and it's all good...
