ES brutally parodies virtually every genre of anime / movie it can get its hands on. It's also insanely funny. I love Pedro's theme song.

it's the running character doctor -- the one with the scarred face who doesn't know his way around basic medicine who gets bailed out of malpractice and harassement lawsuits by his nurse. he tried to kill iwata at least twice in the manga, as i recall.

and the good (or bad) doctor is more th an balanced by the tragic story of pedro -- plus excel's mile-a-minute dialogue. but few things can top the manga menchi in the glider flying to freedom during the airplane contest -- or hyatt's death plunge. or elgala on general principals.

and now it's over for months and months.

I noticed that during the new year's eps when excel opens the pinata thing, you can see a gundam colony fall. It falls preety fast so you have to pay a lot of attention.
