I play Measure of Wickedness. I sacrifice a random rat, preferably one with a high converted mana-cost so my Patron gets in play as cheap as possible and Measure goes to the opponent. BAM! He loses 8 life and I get my Patron out in play possibly dealing some damage in the process. Also, equipping my Patron with a Kusari-Gama is good too. 7 damage (I think) to all of my opponents creatures. Also, the Nezumi Cutthroat and ninja-rats are quite nifty too. If you're playing any colour except Black. 'Cause then Fear won't work. As I found out today...

Endless Whispers + Phage the Untouchable.
Have the Endless Whispers in play, and then play Phage. Use any random ability to sacrifice Phage (the deck I have her in is full of these). At the end of your turn, Phage comes into play under your oppenent's control. Since they didn't play Phage from their hand, they lose the game.

Hooray! I made it into someone's sig!
Cheshire, that combo is just plain mean. And that's why it's so genius! I like a combo using Phage as well, excpet my combo involves Summoner's Egg + Donate. Another combo I like is Seismic Assault + Barrel Down Sokensan. Nothing better than a hand full of free shocks. Also, Skirk Fire Marshal + Siege-Gang Commander. 10 damage, then sac everything else (except the marhal) while it's on the stack for more damage! Last one, Thundermare + Savage Beating. The_Bear tested, pirate approved. :yarr:

my friend and I played specially matched Spirit white green decks against a pair of black decks today. the almost every card played off of another spirit card, or off of how many forests we had in play. we ended up with Kodama the center tree, a 12/12 green elemental, a 13/13 green elemental, and a 14/14 elemental in play as our main hitters. they came out in round 12, 13, and 14 respectively. pretty nice, actually. I just kept activating the ability for him, and he played defense for me, until we clogged our side of the feild with elementals. and yes, all 5 circles of protection on the feild. *giggles* best Game I've played in a while. I forget the card that produced the elementals. it was a rare Green flip card.

I have a third turn kill using an elf deck (with a splash of blue).
On your first turn, play a forest and a Llanowar elf. Turn two, play a swamp, dark ritual, tap the forest, and play Wirewood Channeler. Tap the Llanowar elf for a green and put another Llanowar into play. Turn 3, play an island if you have it, if not, then don't worry. Tap either one of your lands or one of your Llanowars for one mana. Tap the Channeler for 3 blue mana. Enchant the Channeler with Pemmin's Aura. Use your leftover blue mana (or an island, if you played one) to untap the Channeler. Tap the channeler for 3 more blue mana. Use one to untap him, continue, but throw at least one set of 3 red mana (as it can be any color) and when you store up, I dunno, 3 billion blue mana and 3 red mana, blaze.

The one non-portal version of Piracy and Storm Cauldron. Make them return all of their lands, and you get double mana from it. For extra kicks, run Zouzu or whatever it's spelled like (whenever a land comes into play, ~ does 2 damage to that land's controller)
Or one I didn't make up: Eternal Witness and Evacuation, win with Rude Awakening. Scary effective.

I've got two decks I really like right now. One's a Red/White Samurai deck, pretty straightforward. Creatures and equipment. I once got into a lock against my friend's Black/Green spirit deck. When I finally won, it was with 60-some life and he was beaten into -120 life. Thank you Loxodon Warhammer.
My other deck is Toshi Umezawa creature destruction combined with black beatdown. It's rare to see a creature last more than a turn on the board when playing against this deck.

My favorite deck is and probably always will be my sliver/living death deck.
It was red/green/black. The object was to get a heart sliver, an acidic sliver, and a heartstone into play. Sac all my slivers to deal a massive amount of damage, play living death, announce my attack phase. It was a tough deck to play properly but it had enough contingencies that I could keep it going.

The_Bear is clearly a n00b. You're supposed to stack pancakes on top of butter at the end of your opponent's turn. That way they resolve in the right order without having to wait for the stack to clear.
Anyway, here's a rundown of what I have at the moment: Mono-blue Fish. It's got four Psionic Blasts (amongst other things) for those of you who are wondering how the hell I play with mono-blue fish. Falls to good aggro decks, beats most of the rest. Mono-black control. There's five Edicts in Magic (barring Abyssal Gatekeeper), and I run all of them in fours. Thrives off of weenies with Sadistic Glee. Falls to non-creature fast combo, kills anything that wins with creatures that aren't True Believer with Greaves equipped. Mono-white. No apparent coherency, yet still my best 1.5 deck. And that's saying quite a lot. Loses to Type I decks, and that's about it. Shapeshifter. Primary win condition is Volrath's Shapeshifter+Phantom Warrior/Dreadnought+Phage, secondary is reanimation. Packs two Stifles for obvious reasons. Loses to bad luck. Type I Charbelcher. Has two lands in it. Doesn't lose.

Is anyone here doing anything with UnCon this year? It's fun and doesn't require travel! Click here if you so desire. Anyway, another deck I've been experimenting with online is mono-black...something. It's got creatures, removal, ninjas, and life gain/drain (via consume spirit and other things). Is there a name for decks like that? One card I've found especially useful in that deck is Devour in Shadow. It gets rid of black creatures that most black removal can't touch, and it takes care of those pesky regenerators like Drudge Skeletons, Kashi-Tribe Reaver and Kuro's Taken.
