As I recall, the GBA version is the "noob" version of FF Origins, and the "hard" version of Origins is the original NES version (with tweaked graphics, bug fixes, and a few renamings).

So, there's a hard version with the same graphics as GBA? They're really much better than NES...

FF Origins on the playstation. An update of the original, where it gives you the option to either play as original, play updated, or do a mix of the settings. Even with that in mind Origins is still easier, though. But Dawn of Souls? Ridiculously easy. It's the FF1 for the current generation, those people who are afraid of a difficult video game.

Which is why DMC3 rules all hell.

But back on track, Black mage once again throwes us his bad puns... atleast I thought it was funny.

Well, of course! The GBA version was a cinch. It lost it's difficulty, really. Only Omega and Shinryu were challenges you had to really take time to prepare yourself for. They put Ragnarok and Ultima Weapon in for chrissakes. And the advantages of taking a little more time to level up shot through the roof. None of the four elemental bosses took any real effort. Even Chaos was a chump. This goes for Warmech, too (Name changed to Death Machine).

The last video game these days that I remember having a CHALLENGE with was Sonic Adventure 2. The last few stages, anyway. Then again, I have to give FF7 some credit, I still have not beaten the Emerald Weapon.

Not me. I've beaten the crazy russian version of original Prince of Persia.
I never finished Dawn of Souls; it was way too boring.

I played DOS, I made a one white mage quest and quit at Gurgu Volcano because it was too easy.

I'm confused now.
Using a narrative device to skip a lot of walking does not interference by Sarda make. I don't know if even Brian can pull comedy gold out of every single possible random encounter.

As for the Castle of Ordeals, I made that trip on an FF1 ROM before I did Gurgu Volcano... and before I got the airship (you can take the boat up there). Then I did Gurgu last because I found that kind of amusing. Course, the whole thing included several hours of abusing that little pennisula near Pravoka for its massive monsters.
