Is daylight savings time useful? - Page 4

I dunno about the ritual thing... I only remember to do it because the newspaper announces "Daylight Savings today" on the Sunday you change the clocks. And the day before in a little blurb thing.

Actually, based on my schedule, it is kind of nice to get that extra hour, but it then results in me ALWAYS driving into the sun, usually when its setting. Plus, since I sleep late (the only thing to do

), I get less sun.

Conversely, spring forward is nice in that the sun stays up longer in the day, but back when I had to get up early it totally screwed up my sleep patterns for almost 2 weeks, and that's no fun. I think there are statistics somewhere that show like 2 times the normal number of car crashes on the day after we spring forward.

Anyways, I personally say abolish daylight savings. Just because it prevents kids from going to school in the dark is not enough of an argument. Make school start later
