I'm betting it goes along my idea. BM has just become Lord Hell Chaos, killed off the others and only Fighter can stand before him. The two bestest buddies. One can bring about the others down fall, and vice versa.

I'm assuming "the others" would include WM. But why would he kill her? That's something to think about. Maybe her white magic could somehow defeat his darkness, so he was forced to do away with her.

Or maybe he had to sacrifce the only one he ever cared about, in any way or shape, White Mage to gain such power as he now has. Makes sense, if you think about it. And Fighter could, at the end of it all, bring back White Mage, THeif, Red Mage and transform the spirit of Black Mage into a Knight, as he fades away...

Quoting the original 434 thread..

If the situation never happens, then maybe it's just Black Mage coming up with a situation where he'd look back on this and laugh. If not, I don't know. Anyway, here's my evidence for the red text box belonging to Red Mage.. (linked because it'd probably stretch the page out)

Evidence

There's some other stuff on there too, showing how it's not White Mage and a possible source for the red and black background. Besides, Red Mage is the one who wants "all the answers", right?

All the speculation aside, I think this was a great comic. It's funny, but at the same time throws a huge piece of intrigue into the plot. After all, it's generated some 15-odd pages of replies! Great work.
As much as I'd like to say fighter (or white mage), red mage looks more realistic due to text boxes. ;/ But, his text boxes do change (some are just dark red), so who knows. Fighter had the same color but double gradiant..

Could someone make a link to the original discussion on comic 434?

For some odd reason I can't seem to find it.

I wonder if the rest of those backgrounds (besides the robe pattern) appeared anywhere else in the comic. Could be clues!

The first has thief colors covered in something gray. I'm not sure what that red shit is in the second panel, but the fourth panel is a spell induced explosion.

Dose anyone else think that the Knight in the 'True Light Warriors' group act like Black Mage? It's already been discussed that Berry could be Red Mage....

Wait, didn't Brian say Pink is different then Red? But in the quoted post, he included WM as...

Jeez, I bet he's just messing with us. Doesn't he think the best jokes are the ones played on the reader?
