Hate certain forums? - Page 2

I suppose I'm lucky that I haven't really had the 'awful forum' forum. I'm quite picky about where I post to where I'll post on the introduce yourself threads and not post anything for a couple weeks while I scout out the forum. NPF is probably the only forum I've posted on a regular basis, why? The moderators are absolutely top notch, the rules are enforced, for the most part the douches are weeded out as soon as they rear their ugly faces, etc. If the internet as a whole were treated as well as the NPF it'd be so much better!

I'm with the general population, OCRemix UnModerated forums are just terrible. "Post your Hentai Pg 4306." Yew.

Worst is Gaia Online though. A cutesy forum with funny avatars and flash stuff. Turned into Moderators Hate Pictures In Sigs, among other.

Strangely enough, the hentai, catgirl, and angel girl threads are probably the most well behaved threads of all UnMod, as they feature very little in the way of words, and a whole lot in the way of images of scantily clad cuties...*cough*...so maybe I enjoy that sort of thing...go away.

It's interesting, actually. Besides the fact that NPF is like my internet 'home (i've been here since i was a tadpole),' I like to think there's something about it that always pulls me back. I've tried other forums, and semi-consistently, too. None have ever quite hooked me like NPF. None have ever been the right mix of this accidental crowd.

Some, like GSF, were too big...some, like the animelyrics Japanese forum, are ridiculously awesome, but serve only one purpose for me... most others I rarely stick around in. I'm sure I could get comfortable with other places like the Gamers Quarter forums or the Insert Credit forums (in fact I know I would, since there are a lot of people on the same 'wavelength' as me around those parts), but I've never had the dedication to try and make a presence.

Once you go NPF, you never go back again.

I signed up on EZWhores forum a while ago, posted for a few months, then drifted away. I absently came back a while ago for nearly no reason, then I drifted away, then came back.

I don't know why this miracle happened. I only praise it.

This is the first forum I've ever posted on. I was thinking about posting on the forums of two other websites I frequent. One site, that I don't feel like naming at the moment, was filled with mostly intelligent forumers who knew what they were discussing, but at the same time, said forumers were absolutely insane. These people spoke as if they were closer to various videogame heroes than their own families! Also, the mods were pure evil. If you said something that could be remotely offensive, you got banned, and you couldn't even return just to read the threads. The other website forums was the Gamespy forums. Only good thing about the Gamespy forums was they were used by fellow hardcore gamers, but that's it. The forumers themselves are mostly immature preteen boys who think it's cool to use as many asinine profanities as humanly possible, and get into insightful conversations about how 'gay' *insert big name game here* is, all with close-to-none moderation, but then I started reading the forums here at Nuklearpower, and it was love at first sight. Of all the forums I've seen, I chose the NPF, and with good reason. Now you know why I'm here. It was either, "BlackMage is the sweetest!" or "HALFLIFE TOO IS FUH KEENG GAYE!!!!11111

*ROTFLMHO* Your, um, closeness doesn't bother me. You're just idolizing. There's a fine line between idolizing and whoring oneself, with the latter, unfortunetely, occurring much too frequently on the SonicHQ forums. (I used to go there to study for my fanfic.) Not only that, but those forumers took themselves way too seriously. See, this is another thing I like about the NPF that I forgot to mention; you people are funny and make me laugh, which is more than what I can say about the SonicHQ "Shadow owns my soul" forums and the GameSpy "EYE OWNERZ ALL NEWBS!!" forums.
