I beg to differ. Like I said, this forum is probably one of the most humourless places ever. Say something silly in a serious thread, and it's like OMG WHO ARE YOU TO POST IN HERE!? That said, We've got plenty of opportunities to be funny in funny places...like...the epic battles thread over in offtopic. Be funny there.

Ugh. Tell me about it. Arguably, the two biggest webcomics out there are Megatokyo, and Penny Arcade. Incidentally, their forums simultaneously posses the largest spectrum and volume of internet undesireables... or 'fithfiend's mother', as I like to call them.

Well, being someone who likes to try to bring the funny, I've had to learn the hard way how best to approach it here. If you throw it in with something that's at least vaguely on topic, you can get away with it. All in all, though, I do like the way things are done around here. Yes, I live in terror whenever I post, but you can't be truly free without being oppressed.

I don't know what in the world you people mean by this place is 'well moderated.' I can be very blatently offensive, and so far I've only been called on it some three times (each in the discussion forums... that ought to tell you something).

Oh, and the Squidi comment, I'm sure someone would have to threaten him pretty bad to get him on the PA forums, so I assume you're talking about the Megatokyo forums. Fifthfiend's mom wouldn't be surprising either.

And, for some wierd record, I know the discussion forums is your home, Adamark, but what in the world are we discussing here?

Please. Do you know how it easy it was to provoke that self-righteous ego-maniac? He probably joined the second he found his moniker quoted on PA Forums in a google search.

I dunno. Three is kind of a lot, and I highly doubt you've continually bashed someone in irrational anger with the usual slew of oft used forum insults. There's a differance between being offensive while still making a valid point, and JUST being offensive, although the moderators still watch you a little closer in either case, IMO.

Oh, and I should mention Inverloch forums - bless her little heart, but sarah has got the spammiest forum members I've ever seen. An example of how the quality of the comic has little if anything to do with the quality of the forum society.

Yes, and bashing Squidi is kind of old. He actually had something like a good comic, so to a certain extent people are over reacting to him. Then again, he over reacted to them, so noone wins, and we're just keeping up old hatreds.

Let's see, two were kind of a lighter slap on the wrist then a warning, saying my views and my expression were a bit strong, and another was a similar case, except it was a post dedicated to telling me off. And no, I don't ussually do a slew of insults.

Considering that we already bashed Megatokyo (and I think Misfile), that's a given.

Although I really haven't visited many forums, I have been to online places, and I assume people pretty much act the same. I also assume that all the posters are like the one-time posters here. Considering that, all hail the NPF as a safe haven.

You restore my faith in humanity, after they remove it.

Some of their discussions are good, but almost everything else is really bad. The worst has to be their "Lovers LAN" section. I kid you not, I once saw someone go there for advice, got dumped the next day, and then someone came on and said "You should go get the dude that stole her and fuck him in the ass." followed by "You have lost your girlfriend because you didn't fuck her, you cock-less wimp."

I once again salute you NPF.
