Well, Thief may not have shown any interest in females, but...has he shown any interest in males?

And yes, Thief has shown a likeing towards one guy, Gohan.
Funny thing, all my wild claims have been stated on facts. Awesome. |

That's SIR Thief to you!

I honestly don't recall Thief ever saying "I'd go gay for Gohan!" Merely stating that a male has something in common with a male/preference for a character does not underscore sexuality. Vegeta is my favorite DBZ character. That'd make me a Vegeta man. Does that mean I'd go gay for Vegeta? Not one bit.

Thief likes Gohan. So what? Where did he say it was sexual? Where did he say "I'm the kind of guy who would gladly fellate Gohan?" Couldn't it just be that Thief is a Gohan fan and leave it at that? I mean, seriously, dude, it's starting to sound like you're projecting. Are you suggesting that Gohan has zero straight male fans? That anybody who has ever purchased a Gohan poster, a Gohan action figure, or enjoyed watching a show with Gohan in it is by necessity gay? I suppose that means any Star Wars geek who's a fan of Darth Vader is gay. And anyone who likes Yu-Gi-Oh is gay too, I suppose. Hell, anyone who liked Ash Ketchum from Pokemon is gay, now. And all those Black Mage fanboys, well, they're certainly gay, because they like a male character. And anyone with a male friend is gay too, because they like a boy. If you have ever seen a man you are gay. Seriously, that's...that's kind of weird. |

Gay and straight are accidental choices in life where you're forced to believe you only fall in love with/have sex with a certain gender because of society's teachings and because you see yourself prefering a gender a certain way.

Transend has hit the nail so hard on the head that it's went right through the other side of the wood.

For example, I'm utterly baffled as to how anyone could find men attractive at all. They're hairly, blockly and just generally ugly, but on the otherhand I've heard girls (and a gay relative) make similar arguments about women.

Yeah, I'm totally not debating that. But what I am debating is that we take what we believe too seriously, as I took the topic however long ago it was that I posted that. If we all got over the gay/straight stereotypes, we'd be able to see we have much more appreciation of the other gender we don't look at. For example, I think it's crude to think that females can say "ooh, that girl's cute" and not be called gay, without having guys be able to say that about another guy and not be called gay. Another example is that I think guys have the ability to be both hotter, and uglier than women in a certain way.. but I find I'm able to connect with a girl faster and hotter in a less sexually-attracted way. Some guys might be like "... ew.", but that's me. and a lot of people think the same way too, except don't express it a lot.
*ahem* ... anyway. In regards to the topic, and how gay/straight applies to 8BT and Thief/RM, I think all the light warriors seem more gay than Thief... I've always looked at Thief as being macho and dominating. Of course, Celebren's got her own takes on Thief being dominating... but not that type. ~>.<~'' ( The whole beliefs thing was just to give some people a glimpse of what I believe is truth so that people would see it and be like "hey, that makes sense.". Really, the only thing I have to offer to the topic, directly, is the second paragraph. ^ ^- )

Ah, okay, I get you.
I have to agree that I've always seen Theif as the most macho of the LW's, but that may be partly because I'm a huge fan of deceptive appearances in fiction (like a guy who's quite short and skinny being able to lift a fire engine with one hand) and Theif, as an elf, would be quite effeminate in appearance.
