Rippler is a Lore from FFVI (can be learned by Strago). It trades status effects (ex. poison, zombie, dark) between target and caster. So if the caster is poisoned, blind, on fire, and nailed to the floor, Rippler will remove all those and cause the target to be poisoned, blind, on fire, and nailed to the floor.

Unfortunately there is a huge bug associated with it- if an enemy casts it on Shadow, his dog Interceptor (random counterattacks) is lost unless you can get that enemy to re-Ripple Shadow.

And by 'fizzle', I mean 'totally useless'. What would Rippler do if neither caster or target had a status effect? Trade hair color?

Huh...now I see. And I get your point...Ripple can be pretty useless if neither had any status effect at all. I don't recall there actually being a status effect during the comic either, has there? ...Besides Matoya's poison, which basically caused a lot of horrific nightmares to the Light[bulb] Warriors?

I wish I could use SWK's BM, but it says donotuse in the name =(

Mighty Guard. If he got Mighty Guard, he would have no chance to hurt the other Lite Warriors.

I hate Mighty Guard. But it's something BM would end up casting, since it would help his friends- which he doesn't want to do. How would he stab Fighter if he has Safe, Shell, and is floating?

I think it'd be hilarious if he learned something like MP Hammer or Acid... in some ways useless but at the same time so USEFUL! I'd be happy if he learned something like Stare or Drain Touch, considering that they can both be used for things that BM would normally do. Agh...they should fight a zombie so BM can get Drain Touch. From that point on whenever he's weak he could just drain hp like the little ball of evil he is from Fighter and the other characters, excluding Thief.
