Cyber Wars 2.0 Chapter 5: Redefining "undercover" since 2028

Bob was on the ground, white camo to match the floor, a tranq pistol in his hand, looking through the crack of the door in front of him. "I'm not liking this," he signaled. "I haven't been here in a while, but something's not right... Permission to move in."

[Zephie]

Back at the base, Tia was confused.

Umm, Jason... I... ...there's a bit of a hiccup here...

What do you mean, "hiccup"?

Well, I tapped his brain, but there's some stuff here that's really weird... I get all sorts of thoughts, electrical impulses, and binary and hexadecimal code. I think he's replaced parts of his brain with positronic implants and neural uplinks, and scattered nanomechanical implants and security devices all over his head. Either this guy's wacked-out paranoid or he's a complete genius... there's encrypting here that I can't make heads or tails out of.

...So... he's blocking your telepathy?

I don't think he ever meant for it to do that, but that's basically what he's doing. I'd have to run this through an NSA decrypter before I could even begin to understand any of it.

"I'll cover you." Kagemusha said drawing his revolver.

OOC: MC, get into the room already so I can deal with you.

BIC: Jax had secured the ladies and was threatening them nicely when Simon's next level of security kicked in: subduing the intruder. All of the women gained a glassy look over their eyes and snapped the manacles without effort. Then, their breasts opened up to reveal Jax's worst nightmare: machine guns. They were all over the walls of the room, and Jax was a sitting duck in the enclosed area to Simon's adaptation of an Austin Power's character: the fembot.

Simon, on the other hand, was having the time of his life watching Jason and Kailin make out. However, just as it was really getting steamy his internal security system beeped and informed him that someone was trying to access his memory banks. "I knew that pimp couldn't be trusted! Guards! Activate the security system and stop the hos!" Simon then pulled out a gun from under one of the pillows and pointed it at Jason and the others as a bunch of guards piled into the room.

M4 slowly crawled into the room, his tranq pistol at the ready. He pushed aside the door with complete silence as he eyes the figure sitting above him. She had the same features as Jade, acted like her. If it wasn't her, then it would have to be a very good fake, or a copy of her.

Something wasn't sitting right though in M4. Yes, it was logical that this was her, but at the same time, it wasn't. It was too easy to sneak in, he expected more of a challenge in getting to this spot. He knew something wasn't right. He ran a connection check and didn't find any orginal source. That could only mean one thing: this thing was in fact part of the system, not in it. M4 raised his pistol and aimed for her head, a bead of hesitation in his arms, wanting to pull the trigger.

That's when the door creaked behind him... Stupid backlash!

In a flash, what was in fact J2 was behind M4, holding a glock to his head. "Looking for someone?" M4 dropped his pistol and laid his hands flat on the ground. "Would you believe that I'm here to help clean the carpets?"

J2 smirked. "Funny, I thought I heard a bleep in the security system. Carpet cleaners don't set off alarms."

"Yeah... I guess not. Oh well, time for plan B." He spun around, knocking the gun away from the AI, picked up his pistol and aimed it up at her. "Where is Jade?" J2, surprised but not shocked at his speed, merely smiled. "Jade is indisposed at the moment, may I take a message?" With one fluid motion, she also spun and knocked his gun away from him.
What was he to do? This was obviously a very thoughtful AI. She was programmed perfectly. "You sure there is no way we can get a hold of her? Kagemusha!"

[Squishy Cheeks]

Kagemusha tapped j2 on the shoulder and pistol whipped her The Ai Flwe across the room from the strike, but was not actually hurt.

"This is still the easy way actually. We're not here to hurt anyone, but we will if cornered."

[Raiden]

Thomas drank his beverage as best he could. He wasn't used to drinks like these. If he drank, he expected brain cells to no longer be active. These drinks? They tasted like the sickening sweet residue left in a cider barrel, and had about the same potency. The only benefit was the presence of Rose near him. If it weren't for the fact that he was undercover, he would have been pressing his charms, and hopefully his body, against the young woman.

But it seemed that would have to wait for another time. The guards were getting some kind of communication. As a precaution, Thomas had slipped his right hand down under his clothing and stealthily slipped the glove on.

That's when he saw the sight of a gun being raised, cocked, and aimed. Thomas's hand quickly went over to the wall, and a small static jumped from the glove. With a quick alteration of software, the lights went out.

The sound of confused guards made him smile. He would only keep the lights out for a few brief moments. Just long enough for his disguise to be deleted, and for him to put on his other glove. After his change was complete, he leaned over to Rose.

"Be prepahred, mon chere. Ze buhllets vill fly, an' ve mai be in a bit of dahnger."

His hand pulled off from the walls, but not before changing back the software so that the lights flickered back on.

Without even giving the guards time to react from the sudden change in light, a blast of electricity erupted from Thomas's glove and struck the nearest guard in the chest. The soldier for hire spazmed as the electricity fried his nerves and he fell over.

"Motherfucker."

Then Jax went to awesome mode. He dove to the side, sighting down the barrel. On some less fear-driven level, he was very thankful that the Five-seveN had such a large magazine. Then he started firing. Oddly enough, he wasn't shooting at the foes. He hit the lights. Darkness flooded the room. This sudden change in situation took a moment to process through their programming.

When they thought to start tracking the noise, it was too late. After spending years as a sniper, he was used to rapidly changing light situations. Jax had already down two with armor piercing rounds right to the head, and then he was in the midst of them all. As the human torso lacks the coordination of the hand, this created a very vicious very ugly crossfire, that downed all but two.

Jax was quick and smooth. He slammed his knife across the eyes of one, disabling the optics, and then ducked again. A stream of bullets took down the second last fembot, and Jax shot the last one in both knees. Smoothly, he slipped behind the last fembot.

By grabbing around the arms, he was able to direct the stream of gunfire not into the bars, or the door, but into the doorway and into the ceiling and floor where the bars came from. This opened them up enough, so Jax shot the last fembot in the head five times.

Then he hit his comm.

"Assault team free! Move in!"

Quite calmly, he snapped off the silencer, retrieved his knife, then walked up to the door. Then he kicked the shattered remains in. He stepped out, and sighted down the barrel, and headed towards the stairs.

Kaitlin took a look at the guards, then at Jason, Then at Simon

Oh sugar, you've just made the dumbest move of your life.

With that she hurled Jason at the guards. As he flew, Jason deleted his disguise, his modifications melting off of him as it revealed his quite male form, fully decked out in black clothing and trenchcoat.

Simon, too distracted by the sudden gender shift, was unable to track Jason in flight, and he completely took his eyes off Kaitiln. Not that it would have helped him in the druggy haze he was in.

Kaitiln darted forward and kicked Simon square in the groin. As he doubled over in pain, she grabbed his gun hand, broke his trigger finger, and then viciously bent his arm so that the gun was aimed at his own head.

"I'd tell you to have your guards stand down, but by the time you tell them that i doubt they'd still be alive."

Jason fought like an animal unleashed, quickly disarming a guard, using the guard as a shield, and shoving him forward into his comrades as bullets filled the hapless trooper.

Jason leapt in behind the corpse, catching one guard in the skull with a powerful roundhouse kick, and catching the man's gun as he fell. One guard fired a bullet in Jason's direction, but he deflected it with one of the guns he had, sending it into a guard a bit further back.

Jason slogged his way through the guards, shooting, punching, maiming, and kicking his way through them. Scrya was also assisting him, and in less than a minute every guard Simon called in was dead or dying.

He then pointed his guns at Simon, who was currently whimpering from Kaitiln pressing a stiletto heel into his crotch.

"You're going to quit your whining and tell us everything you know about Mastermind and his compatability with Phoenix code, and then maybe i'll let you live DESPITE groping my wife."

he transmitted by communicator to Wraith. "Wraith, get the firewalls down as soon as possible and take care of all the guards. I want this place locked down and under our control. Nothing will interfere with the...interrogation"
