And in the first episode, with the Plastics, didn't the head honcho plastic insinuate that the Doctor was responsible for some horrible accident? And the Doctor just kept screaming, "It wasn't my fault!" over and over. Same war, do you suppose?

It seems likely.
Second season people: so what do you think about the Bad Wolf reference in the last episode? Is there going to be even more fallout from what Rose did to save the Doctor, or was it just another of Tardis!Rose's little notes scattered through time? Does Rose still not remember any of that? And for that matter, does the Doctor?

The third episode was just shown over here. A few memerable characters and everyones childhood wish is fullfilled ( School goes asplode)
There's one thing I've always wondered about that came up in this episode, the aliens in this episode says that they can help the Doctor to fix the Time War, when doesn't the Doctor just go to when the war occoured and kick major arse. Or just create paradoxs to kick major arse? The Doctor is a smart chap, he could do in such a way that the world doesn't implode!

Well, in the first season finale he said Something about becoming part of events if he traveled back in time. I don't get it either, but aparently it's a no-no .

i loved the Fathers Day episode. it was creepy and sad at the same time. the special effects seemed better too. the TARDIS disappearing was really shocking.

Bobbeh because the Doctor can't do that. Doing that would cause everything in the first and second series in to non-existance, remember the time monster things in the episode Rose saved her dad, but imagine that on a galactic scale and because of the unusual way that time travel works in the show. On one hand yes he could do that but on the other hand no he could not. Trying to understand time travel and it complexities can leave people holding there heads in pain, as it is very complicated, even for a time lord.
