Right. besides the first part of the comic. The first part was basically goofing off completely, no real goals, and just... making no sense. Like most comics were at the time. I think what we need to do is to find what the comic is now inside what the comic used to be, and build it into that, and add more. and expect a lot from Giant's Forest. A whole sub-plot will go down in there after you finish each Story Arc. v.v

I'm trying to turn most of the conversation at the Cornelia gates into gangster slang, but I don't know where to look for ganster slang. Can anyone find me gangster slang, or turn what they say into gangster slang, or both? > >

I could translate the dialogue into pseudo-gangsta talk, if you'll supply it. Otherwise, go play GTA: San Andreas and write down what you hear people say.

Back where Fighter is, Thief greets him as he emerges from the bush. Then the standard 8-Bit Theatre events take place as before in the comic -- but before Fighter interviews whoever will be interviewed, a white mage in a plain, white robe with brown hair walks up to Fighter, standing behind him. There is a short pause while Fighter just hesitates, then he turns around to notice her behind him.
"Wha -- why are you standing behind me?"
"I wouldn't trust him if I were you."
The screen rolls over to where Thief is. He is having a rather leisurely conversation with someone who looks like one of the town guards.
"Hey, come here often?"
"I live here."
"Well, guess what? They're having a special day today, and some pretty magnificent fireworks are starting up. Just over there."
"Where?"
The guard turns to face the other direction.
"Yoink!"
With that, Thief races away and disappears. The guard turns around once more.
"Where'd that shifty-but-convincing-stranger-like-figure-with-suspicious-boots go?"
The screen rolls back over to Fighter and the white mage.
"But you're not me. So I trust him. Right?"
"You did see him run off with someone's belonging, or at least some money."
"Naaah."
"Well, it's your problem now." The girl walks away for a brief time, and Fighter turns around, but she quickly comes back with a sword. "Now pay up because I warned you!"
"Say what?
"I'm just screwing around and stalling you. Have a nice day." She turns back around and walks off. Thief comes up to Fighter, concerned about what had happened.
"What did she say?"
"Something about trusting you and paying you, I think. I dunno." The current applicant walks forward.
"Can we, uh....start the interview yet?"
Back to where Black Mage was, the stranger he met with the green hat, red cloak, and multi-colored gloves stops him for a moment.
"Wait."
"What? I told you I didn't burn down your orphanage. -- I think."
"No, I just wanted to tell you that if you see a white mage with red hair, make sure she doesn't have her giant hammer out."
Pause. "...Right. Why?"
"Gotta go. As you say, 'Yoing!'"
The person abruptly disappears.
Pause. "...The things people do for money."

The dashes meant pauses in the speech.
I'll try posting another thing up in the forums...

"Can we!" Leans out of his chair, and shakes the tiger's paw. "Hi, I don't do this much, but.. well, I really like fighting! and swords!! heh heh..." looks to the side.
"... right. Uhm... yes. Well, I do too.. Which is why I've come here to try out."
"Fighter, get back behind the counter.."
"Oh! yeah, I forgot! Sorry, you just... what are you wearing?"
"A tux..?"
"Tux?"
"Oh, right.. that's after your time.... it's just a um.. suit. Yeah.. suit."
"Where's the metal on it if it's a suit?"
"Boots, buttons, cuffs."
"Fighter.. I think the more important question, what makes you an eligible Light Warrior? Not that I belong here either..
"I'm good with big swords."
"Next!"
"Wha-what?! You're making a big mistake, let me explain!
"Talk to me on my break-- NEXT!"

Black: What be wrong, my nigga?
Fighter: Whatchoo talkin' 'bout foo? I'm a Fighter an' swords is da shizz-nit.
Black: Ain't it querr up in herr dat dese foo's only be sayin' the same damn whack shit over an' over?
Fighter: I thought he was bein' my dawg, dawg.
Black: Fuck it. Let's just get up in here and see what these foo's is doin'

If we all want to see a successful 8-Bit Theatre RPG released in top form without any problems at all, worthy enough to be called the 8-Bit Theatre RPG, pitch in all of you and you won't be disappointed!

I dunno. We haven't really seen anymore additions to the staff recently, and the accounts on the 8BTRPG forum that aren't posting really seem to come and go.

*shrugs* I guess I can just post up the demos when we're finished with them. This doesn't have to be made by the forum.

If anyone has tips though... go ahead and post.
