I plan on beating at least MOST of the game first though. Least untill some good mods come out, and all. Quote:

For the Thief sign, you get a +10 to luck, agility and speed. Which is pretty good if you ask me.
Mods are already starting to come out. There's quite a few at The Elder Scrolls official forum. |

For my thiefy/assassin type character i went with shadow sign (60sec invis/day). I just like special power signs over +stat signs, gives the character more... well... character, for me anyway.
I haven't gotten to play much yet, but so far I'm really liking it. I tried making a stealthy/marksman character in Morrowind, and he was never as fun as the one I'm playing in oblivion. The physics engine just blew me away. I spent several minutes just throwing the skull and moving the chains in the cell, even after Jon-Lu.. I mean the Emporer told me to follow him. ![]() I see a lot of people complaining on the elderscrolls forums about leveling up too fast, thus making combat encounters too difficult. Anyone have any experience with this? In morrowind, it was never much of a problem, since combat was never too terribly difficult (esp. with a few potions).

I just got it today, and haven't made it very far but I'm quite impressed with it. Besides the better graphics it seems like the folks at Bethseda took a lot of cues from mods out for Morrowind i.e. putting people on schedules, one touch herb gathering, horses, better hand to hand (I LOVE HAND TO HAND), better combat, etc.
The first time I played the original Morrowind was probably the easiest go-round for me, and the one that showed me what I was in for by buying it. Why? I completely forgot to deliver that note (thus delaying the main quest) till I was around level 16. The only minor complaint I have about Oblivion vs Morrowind is the small skill list. Mainly for the weapons, just because I can use a club, doesn't mean I can use an axe. And why is my axe a BLUNT WEAPON? There are different principles between using a knife and a long blade, etc. Did anyone else get the collector's edition. And am I the only person who loves staring at, holding, flipping, his septim constantly? |

The one thing that makes me upset is the lack of werewolves.
...that is all.

) Is there any advantage now to having a dagger over a sword now? Since they both depend on strength and the same skill, the sword will always do more damage, won't it? Anyone have experience with this? I'll still try and find my tanto (favorite weapon from Morrowind). ![]() Yeah, and I'm flipping my coin to

Im having loads of fun with my sinful 360 collector's edition except that I need better armor for my imperial thief! Im filthy rich though thanks to a glitch I accidently found. Also, daggers do the same damage as swords but have a faster swing. A lot faster in my opinion. Now to return to my septim flipping...
