I can see how the swing is similar but I had to get the mod that changed it from blunt to hafted (no more blunt axes).

However the tradeoff is less reach. Get a claymore and compare its reach to a knife's speed. Then you understand the difference. I prefer the katana myself, and you get a nifty one early into the story.

The one thing I'm incredibly happy that they took out is the goddamn dark brotherhood attacking you every freaking night. Even if you're inside your own HOUSE. Although, to be fair, they came to me in my own house in Oblivion too. Only they weren't there to kill me... MUHAHAHAHAHA

That makes some sence (probably better than my sweeping vs. pierceing idea).

Solved my armor problem, got a very nice one from joining the Dark Brotherhood.
But I have another problem a bit more serious... In the quest " Two sides of a coin" in Bruma, they send you to talk to Jarund'R who is in the dungeon. Before getting that quest i got thrown into said dungeon for robbery and attempted murder and ol' Jarun decided to practice his fisticuffs on me. The guards opened the cell to break up the fight and Jarun decided it was time to make his escape. The guards sounded an alarm and killed the man just as he was nearly out the door. They warned me about taking one step out of the cell and not hesitating to kill me. Fast Forward to when i have the quest and the not so great surprise that my quest target is dead and i cant get the info from him. Any help?

*flips the lucky septim from Morrowind* Could someone tell me if they've got spears in Oblivion? My computer won't run it, so a friend and I ordered it for his comp. Going to be trying it by next Monday.

Feh, alright.

I'll hope for either the expansions or a good mod to include them, but I'm not too worried about it.

(Was just hoping that a lancer-type build would be workable for me in this - I didn't like my attempts at it in Morrowind)
