Father Rhinehardt
Age: 62
Description: An old, but not decrepit, man standing about 5'(8-9), salt and pepper hair. Wears a traditional priest uniform (black shirt and pants, white neck collar) and has a rosary in his pocket with a crucifix around his neck.
Hobbies: Fencing, gardening
birthday: 4/29
Biography: Father Rhinehardt has been the resident pastor of the town for some 30-odd years, and is a common staple among regular and off-and-on churchgoers, with even secular or non-religous recognizing him from his constant gardenwork (He claims to have planted and organized every flower bed on churchgrounds). He never believed in the stories about the old house, tossing them up to overblown superstition and old wive's tales, but one of his flock came to him speaking of valuable books and tomes inside the house, relics that belong to no man. He has decided to acquire these books, but will make sure they are deposited in a rightful place instead of wasted away by time.

This RP looks pretty cool so I'd like to join in on the fun. Am I right in inferring that this is based off of something (with which I am unfamiliar, despite recognizing Clue and Cthulhu)? Anyhow, I'll post a character and see what you guys think.

Name: Logan Hubrician
Age: 34
Description: A tall and gangly 6'3", 180; Logan stands out even from a distance. However his blatant and total insanity is often more of a concern for passerby. He keeps his sharp, red hair in a severe and conspiciously 'sane' ducktail (meaning that the effort and concentration involved in maintaining it seems initially to be at odds with his spastic personality). He seems preternaturally swift (and the velocity of which he is capable lends him his strength). Logan is quite mad and yet, if only it was known how it could be accessed, he possesses great wisdom and much information concerning the occult

Hobbies: Anything that keeps him in motion, alternated with compulsive study in libraries. In the former he can't seem to keep still, while in the latter he becomes thoroughly engrossed, remaining immobile for hours at a time.

Birthday: Logan couldn't tell you when it is, but he does know. It is Februrary the 28th. When asked about such matters he will usual mention that he is a Pisces, amid hisses and gnashed mutterings.

Bio: At some indeterminate point in the past, Logan suffered an utterly debilitating mental breakdown. He has been like this as long as he seems to remember (longer actually because he appears to have no recollection of even some recent events).

The cause was never determined, but rather typically his family blamed the 'newfangled' book learning he had bought into at university. They had no idea that in the midst of his doctoral research Logan had joined up with an esoteric cult, seeking more exotic knowledge. As he ascended in prestige, his grip on reality slowly drifted away.

One day, with a deadline looming, Logan finally saw what was happening to him and struggled to wrest his mind from dark and terrible gods. He was sure he could free himself, or at least hold off the clouds of madness long enough to complete his thesis paper. However capable he was though, no mortal has yet been a match for such evil and his being was rent, dividing his physical and mental parts. His mind is still in many ways intact (and the formidable tool it always was), and yet he can hardly seem to communicate simple phrases.

Potentially Unrelated: Perhaps he can be found skulking about the house as a way of introducing him that won't involve him communicating a desire to explore the house. He is drawn towards the hill and anything supernatural. (I'm not sure if this info is needed, I just added it in case)

Bio: Madame Zostra was born into a gypsy family over in Europe, and the whole family moved over when she was about 20. Zostra spent the next seventeen years getting used to America, while at the same time keeping true to her gypsy roots by keeping up with astrology at the same time. Along the way, she even gained a love for baseball.

So, after driving through this town and hearing about this so-called haunted house, Zostra decided to look in on it and see what all the fuss was about.
