Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

I thought Sabertooth wasn't sure whether it would kill him or not, meaning there's a chance. An ever-glimmering chance, like the light at the end of the tunnel, and it turns out the light is The Starship Enterprise wanting to beam you up. And they take you to a planet where the atmosphere is orgasm. And you breathe in orgasm, and it's great, and then you get real drunk and, I dunno, who cares, Wolverine might be dead.

A dead body keeps healing for a while after death. Fingernails and hair grow, cell division doesn't stop instantly. As souped up as those healing powers are, I guess if you just kept the head in place the wound would heal. And so would any brain damage sustained by oxygen deprivation. I figure he'd resume breathing and stuff as soon as the nerves heal (assuming he doesn't keep breathing and giving birth with a severed head like that woman in that Stephen King story), or in the worst case he'd need a kick to start up.

The Fingernails and hair do not grow. The dead skin on the fingers and head shrivels up, receding, giving the illusion that the hair and fingernails grew. And using a Stephen King story to prove something factual is a mistake. Don't get me wrong, love the guy, but...

Well I'm not trying to prove anything, I just got to thinking about that story. It's creepy.

Yeah. But I think shriveling skins are creepier than growing hair.
