It seems that phylactery has something to do with an orb of sorts that is used in the transformation of a man into a Lich. I got that from reading this thread, though.
Probably a DnD thing.

Yeah, though. The first thing I thought of was Fellatio too.

well, to become a lich, they must remove their soul, and place it somewhere safe. if the soul is destroyed, then the lich is, for there is no other way to kill it. if you read episode 382, the lich talks about it, the soul in a gem thing he says. the gem is then called the phylactery.
