While all of these exclusives is certainly going to have an effect on Sony, let's not forget that just about every console the three hard-hitters made, at one point, didn't have much going for them, especially the Playstation 2.

So, let's not start the funeral march yet.

If MGS4 goes multi I will laugh for a week straight cause that really would be the final nail in the coffin for the PS3.

We really can't guarantee it. MGS4 really is the one game that has been made specifically so powerful on graphics that it can't be handled by the other two systems. Yes, even the 360. So They might just have to drop it or delay it and redo it all from scratch. Or like I said before, delay it a long time with a big fancy announcement around the time Smash Bros comes out and explain its coming out on Wii, 360 or both giving them time to take the game engine they created and redo it with the other systems graphics.

But really, if you look at MGS4..its one of those games that uses graphics to change gaming. I hate to say it. I don't really think they'd be able to put it on Wii.

Sony is starting to sound a bit like Icarus. They got drunk on the exhilaration of thier success, and believed they were invincible. Then, they flew too close to the sun. The question is, will they be able to salvage themselves? Some companies can. Others can't.

Well... all I can say is I hope the Wii does better. With all this talk about upcoming must-have games (regardless of the fact that they're all going multiplatform...), I realized that the only game I'm really all that excited for on the Wii is Super Smash Bros. I mean... they haven't really announced anything all that good, except that one Pokemon game. And, well, I've given up on Pokemon.

The problem for Nintendo is that all of these PS3 exclusives are going multiplatform, and the Wii can't handle them, so the Xbox 360 is the only system getting any bonus games, and what bonuses they are indeed. The only way I see Nintendo winning this gen is by either getting a TON of good games out, or by finding some way to improve the system's specs, like an add-on processor or something. That, and improving the feckin' online system.

It seems like X360 will be the system to have this time around. And with results like this, it looks like the next gen will involve more of a run for the first release than anything else. Both the PS2 and the 360 got a massive head start, and they ended up doing really well. Coincidence? I think not, and I think that game devs will think neither.

Yeah. Need I remind people of what happened to the N64? Third-party support? What third-party support? :p

The difference here, however, is that Nintendo has historically turned profit on their consoles, where Sony has made their money off of licensing. When adjusted for inflation, the SNES was a similar price to the PS3; I think we'd all call it a success?

Give Sony time. Just because you (or me) aren't interested in the library doesn't mean somebody isn't.

They also said DMC4 could only run on PS3. Yeah, that was totally true, unless they hvae to downscale the Demon Arm or something.
