This has possiblely got to be the best 8-bit episode I've seen and I mean that in a cliff-hanger way. I hope BM isn't dead since last I knew, the "real" LW were wage-slaves at a local McD's or something.... and we can't certainly have them shove our beloved heroes out of the spotlight.

I loved everyone's ideas, but I have a slightly different one. FINAL ATTACK MATERIA! I know materia wasn't in FFI, but wouldn't it be cool if BM got up all of a sudden and hadokened Lich's ass just as he keeled over? It would be kind of like a Shakespearian tragedy.

Personally, I think Fighter is going to give some sort of speech about losing BM, then perform some Omega Zero Final Ultimate Zodiac attack and wipe out Lich. I'll probably be wrong, but it would be cool.

I'm pretty sure I have Brian's little scheme figured out. It will tie everything back together as it should be, with our four heroes alive and well. This could very well contain spoilers, because of the amount of material I have here.

Black Belt and White Mage will not come in to interfere until the lich fight is over. Possibly not even then, depending on who survives in the next part.

Black Mage is out for the duration. Lich will not raise him, switch bodies, or anything. Lich wants a quick end, not a drawn out battle.

Fighter will die, quite bravely, trying to avenge his friend. There is no possible other opton for him. He will not, as previously stated, "go SSJ" or any such thing. I predict a new zodiac attack that is NOT dragon.

Here is the part of the battle that is variable. I'm not sure Brian has decided here yet. Either :thief: will die protecting his interests, or :rmage: will die during his newest complex plan, because Lich doesn't wait until the end of the theme song. Doesn't matter too much, as long as one is alive.

So, then, you are probably wondering how Lich, the almighty undead master with his "soul in a gem so he can't be killed" will be defeated. I have a four word sentence that will stun you. Are you ready for this one? The titan likes rubies. Yep, the titan will eat the ruby containing Lich's soul and end Lich once and for all. And that's why you don't hide your soul in a cave thinking the titan will protect it.

If :rmage: survived, he will be very, very confused, but will revive the party with his backup supply of Phoenix Down. As Brian said LONG ago in that chat, characters will die. "That's what Phoenix Downs are for". Then Thief will remind them of the mission and they grab the earth orb and leave, meeting up with BB and WM, who just came to check on them.

On the other hand, if it was :thief:, he will decide to leave the others lying there and grab the earth orb. When he comes back, it will turn out that BB convinced WM to come back and just check, and she will have to revive them, because of the White Mage's Oath. Thief will be confused as he exits to find everyone alive and waiting, but will be happy he got his earth orb back.

Either way, our whole party is alive and together, Lich is defeated, the titan fans get to see their titan, and the earth orb is in thief's possession. The game is about 1/6 over, yay!

I like being specific, so there's never any question of accuracy. If you'd like me to elaborate on any of this speculation, I'd be glad to. Many thanks to all the posters in the other topic, for getting my thoughts flowing, and especially to iluvBM, whose post I swear I didn't read but apparently absorbed the most crazy idea from.

You know, now I relize why Vilbert was killed so easly. I fired back up my FF1 ROM, and was making my way through the Earth cave when I ran into the Vampire. He was a lot easior thing I thought he was going to be. My Fighter and Red Mage, both damaged, managed to take him out in only a couple of rounds. My Black Mage and Thief were killed right before I had to fight Mr. Vampire. It's pretty amusing if you think about it.
