or... she has the most advanced weapons and armor technology among humans in the entire galaxy and the price of sending thousands of soldiers and dozens of ships you can hire 1 woman for a fraction of the price and get the job done VERY effectively.

I don't think samus has a hard time finding jobs.

Nah. Genocide beats sex every time, and committing genocide is a regular Tuesday for Samus.

Edit: Anyway, Samus is more the stoic warrior than anything; the last of an ancient race of warriors sort of thing, conditioned to pain, immune to fear. She has control over her every urge, not because she's alien (lord knows there's enough of those in Metroid anyway), but because she's a WARRIOR; trained to suppress her fears and emotions. Everyone would totally get this and respect it if she were a man. You would weep glorious man-tears when he, lone warrior, silently confronted the impossible army of hideous monsters arrayed against him, not for money, or the good of the universe (though these are reasons he would agree with), but because he's a warrior: He can worry about why after the battle is won.

Super Metroid, Prime, and Prime II all have Samus saving civilisation pro bono, so even if she needed to, I doubt the woman would be using sex appeal to get her jobs. The respect soldiers in Prime III address her with backs me up on this. They treat her like a war hero, not a seductress.

Also: In Metroid Zero Mission, she out-Snaked Snake. He only has to deal with one or two invincible monsters per game. Those were Samus' regular enemies when she lost her suit.

Thinking more about Brawl, and it's levels regarding Metroid-

In Melee all the Metroid related levels were in Brinstar (Brinstar and Brinstar Depths, with an appearance from Kraid). Norfair and Ridley were nowhere to be seen (other than for a second in the intro). However in Brawl, Ridley's battle theme has been confirmed- could we possibly be getting Norfair and Lower Norfair levels, in a similar vein to the ones in Melee? They could even add the descent into Tourian as part of the Story Mode.

well the great thing about SSB is we can answer these questions. when Brawl comes out we can just have snake fight samus and see who wins.

As for her sexual needs. Ok maybe this comment is abit sexist, but Samus is a woman. I dont see her really caring too much if she doesn't get laid on a regular basis.
