That's what I thought so too.

But then I started thinking, most of the guys don't really talk... Guess the "evil" dudes are going to do the talking really. Or maybe the Fire Emblem characters might add into the story. Or maybe it's completely different depending on who you select.

But I'm getting ahead of myself. It looks very promising.

There's been certain degree of mythology, rules or "nature" to the world of Smash Bros, but not exactly a narrative where you can properly see a definition of a story.

Well, you could construct one in the first one, as long as your mind was as imaginative as the one they were trying to represent with the Master hand. Either way, this is an improvement, though I wonder if Meta Knight is somehow the harbinger of evil and scourge of the Mushroom Kingdom.

Well I'm sure that since this is a Final Smash - which is a token that gets placed on the map randomly - that I'm sure you can't select her from the beginning. But this is like an eighty-percent 'I'm sure', so don't take my word on it.

As for the rest of it, yeah I'm waiting to hear the answer to that too.

It certainly looks that Sakurai is nerfing the game, at least concerning to Fox: if you look at the 15 second presentation from last week you can see that his falling speed has been greatly reduced, as well as the fact that he's said that they are fixing his reflector. Bowser's profile hints at some radical changes in the tier, too.

I think balance has become important in Sakurai's mind, and he will carry it to the end.

A storyline? What the hell? That was... unexpected.

I don't think that Metaknight is the bad guy, though. In all the Kirby games, he's usually doing stuff for the greater good. Granted, that doesn't explain why the Halberd is there, but it's not like that many things in the game are ever explained. Until now, apparently.
