Thanks for clearing that up Naqel.
I think I'll still stick with my agility bonus even though Strengh would work better with my Blackjack. Mainly because agility is going to be more helpful in the places where I work best.

I'd like my first stat boost to go to either willpower or endurance, I guess. Whichever you think fits my character more.
As far as ability, I'd like Jim to be able to know when magic items are near. If he walks by a sleeping adventurer with a magic cloak of omfgness+13, he's gonna make sure that the adventurer sleeps a spell longer and then pawn off the magic goods (or keep them). Or if a merchant has his hands on something he doesn't know to be all it's worth, he'd see the sparkle of the magic and take advantage. Or if an ally lies about what gear he has, he doesn't need to activate a spell to tell if he's lying. So if there's magic gear near Jim, he'd like to know. Also, Naqel, the the q's and g's look pretty much identical with underlines, so you shouldn't get too mad at a generation of people who are used to a letter always being followed by a "U".

Your stat will go to Will, since ENDurance is Your main stat already. Skill? Well there's nothing that works exactly the way You wish, but You can get: Identify Magic(allows defining type of spells being put on objects and people). Last edited by Naqel; 02-12-2008 at 05:23 PM. |

I would like to improve agility and for an extra skill I would like: Disguise (I can with some preparation look like someone else)

I don't think Identify Magic is on the same track as what I want Jim to do. First, the whole active abilities I either forget to use or overuse, so ideally it would be something passive. Second, being able to tell what spell someone is under would make Jim feel more in the healer role, and I endured playing a healer long enough in FFXI to deal with that again.
What about some sort of ability that lets him wear armor without casting penalties?

However, this skill applies also to objects, giving You a powerful tool in reversing someones spells. (no, it won't work for Mage-Hunters) Quote:

Either way, if anyone wants heals from Jim, be warned. He charges, cause he doesn't like doing chores for other people, and healing is a huge chore.
