I think I'm gonna settle my argument at KH1 was better, but KH2 was more casual fun. Mostly due to difficulty.

Like, remember in KHI, how Sora had actual cool abilities you could use, that you didn't need a stupid fucking Drive Mode to activate? Cause I do, and it was pretty great. What's even worse about this is that for the Final Mix version they gave Sora a fucking KH1 form with some of his abilities from that game including the goddamn dodge roll.

One thing I hated about the plot for KHII other than it being ridiculously confusing was that it completely negated the plot of KHI.

That said, I didn't find it to be an absolutely abysmal game. It was easy, but I actually thought the battle system improved. Mostly because I more relied on magic in the first game, and the magic system seemed to have improved some.

Also, it's fun to kick the shit out of things with Final Form.

Yes. Not only that but you didn't absorb other party memebers in order to use it, so you could use it anytime, even when Donald or Goofy or whoever are completely absent. Also, the Dodge Roll was the Growth ability, so you dind't need the Drive form itself to use it.

After I got Final Mix, I imeediatly started on the new difficulty level, Critical Mode. And man I could not find it boring when two or three hits from some regular enemies would own the fuck out of you. You also learn how to use magic more effectively that way. <<

Personally I found KHI pretty shitty, so for KHII to be even marginally worse makes it rather untouchable. And I don't mean untouchable like "wow this game is so great" I mean it like plutonium, no one should touch it.

On the same genre, around that age when it was released the game was pretty fun...

I've played a little (i stoped when you reached Pirates world.) and found the gameplay fun... Shallow maybe, a bit (specally regarding Shops and Equipment) but it was ratherplayable. and the worlds were indeed quite fun. It seemed that the Story was going around in a completly side-universe until that point... but the story in itself was a nice little "i wanna see where this is going..."

C'mon... there are quite a bulk of worst titles around back then and even now... KH2 was "good" just not great

I would say KH1 was great, CoM was good and KH2 was a bunch of bullshit. Not the worst game ever, but a big disappointment compared to what was being promised. The gameplay was not enough to save it in my eyes.
