Regarding the issue of skin irritation I'd probably check what I'm handling at work and see if it's something one should have gloves for. If not, see a dermatologist and check for allergies or similar. |

I handle acetone, and an adhesive primer for metals, but both of those I use heavy yellow gloves for. The problem is coming, I think, from something airborne... Maybe some dust from fiberglass resin, or something. Whatever it is, it's a recent thing, because I've been working in the same place for more than a year now, and it just started a few months ago. edit: Quote:

Checked the gloves. Nothing appears to be different with them either.
something has CHANGED at work to be causing this. Not sure what it could be tho, so I'm moving to a different department. On an unrelated note, you get House in Germany? Cool!

Latex allergy can develop over time, though. In fact, that's pretty much how you get it: too much exposure to latex. See if maybe you're using latex gloves, and about switching to vinyl or something if you are.

Are the gloves made of latex? If so, you may have developed an allergy. The same thing happened to me after being exposed to latex for a certain amount of time. I can't even handle rubber bands without breaking out in hives.
