In any case, practicing my Cassandra, considering I havent played since SC2, thats no small feat.

If anyone wants to play some, just say so.

Been a little while since I played any ranked matches --

My rank's gone down to like 165th since I stopped playing obsessively, I don't want to talk about it. Oh yeah, but my win percentage is still something like 69.7%, so I guess I'm doing all right.

--and I've put a lot of time into practicing Cassandra, mostly because every time I hit the random character select button I end up with her.

Cassandra feels tougher than she was in the older games; I feel like I have an easy time winning with her, and mostly just using lame little counter-pokes like 6B. That face-stab is fucking awful; it's damn fast, damn safe, and will automatically be the death of any button masher.

...Oh yeah, and Joshelplex plays a pretty decent game when our PS3s actually manage to shake hands over the internets.

Playing online at 3 bars is pretty bad. There's a full second of input delay so GIs are really hard to do and there's almost no point in trying to do actual moves because you'll always get hit out of them anyway.

Voldo seems especially hard to deal with in lag.

I was playing earlier and it was really smooth, but just a few minutes ago, it got laggy as all hell, and now I can even sign in to PSN. I think theres a problem with the Sony Servers or something.

And yea, 3 bars is unplayable.

I also really need to practive ym Zas game. Hes my favourite character, but Im terrible with him.

Got the game today, so far not too impressed. First thing I tried to do was arcade mode. Got as far as the Apprentice and tried a dozen or more times to beat him before realising I couldn't. Switched characters and faired no better. That dude is seriously broken.

Story mode sucks. I don't think I need to elaborate further on this.

Character creation looks good, but I haven't had time to suss out its intricacies yet.

Online play was definately lagging big time when I played my first and so far only match, resulting in my easy defeat.

So yeah, not overly happy so far. Perhaps I just need to give it time, get back into practice (not that I was ever amazing at this game anyway.)

Especially with the AI, as you 1.) Always seem to fight the Apprentice and 2.) Always towards the end when the AI ramps up.

I've found the best way to deal with him is to play offensively. Keep knocking him around and grabbing him, which is pretty hard because his attacks have good range and high priority, but you can't afford to block (Much, anyway), because quite a few of his force attacks seem unblockable.

I'd play arcade a lot more if I knew I wouldn't have to fight the *expletive deleted* Apprentice every single time.

Apprentice isn't really broken at all, just his AI seems especially ruthless for some reason. Hell I beat him first time. Against the AI on normal mode you can just abuse throws anyway.

My friends and I made the Joker in custom characters last night. There's actually a mask item that looks EXACTLY like the Joker's face. It was bliss.

On other news, I need a PS3. On other news, how different are Nightmare and Siegfried from their SCIII counterparts? And I hope Talim is less like her SCIII version and more like her SCII version. She got some big changes >_<

Hawk. Just stand with your back against a ledge and use Vader's standard throw. Its a guaranteed ring out as long as you are close to the ledge. It even works on enemies with the ability that prevents ringouts.
