Anger aside, Sylar should still be alive shouldn't he? I mean Peter survived exploding. Couldn't he still help Peter do his thing since Present Sylar is doom death badguy?

I'm pretty upset with today's episode.
I mean, they killed a Peter. Killed him dead and he has Claireblood all through him. Also shouldn't Peter have absorbed all sorts of shit from Sylar already, not to mention his future self? Also Also, Mohinder's Dr. Jekyll/The Fly thing is just too ridiculous and predictable.

So, Claire's gonna become probably evil now, and Nikki'stwin whose name I can't remember is part of a set of triplets, so it's nice to know that once they dick around with her character for no good reason and then kill her off when they're tired of her, there's still one backup copy of her out there somewhere. (I'm beginning to think that Heroes is kind of hit-and-miss with its female characters.) Also, Peter is one of the most boneheadedly naive sons of bitches ever to walk the face of the earth, even now, when he really, really, really, really, really shouldn't be. Seriously, he sounded Fighter-naive in this ep. What the hell? If you go by the conversation he had with future!Peter, he should think that kittens shit lollipops and cotton candy and no one has ever had an unkind thought about anyone, ever, in the whole history of humanity. This was stupid, even taking into account Peter's normal levels of stupid.

I really wish Kring had kept to his original idea of having each season exist within itself before shifting to a new group of heroes. The power-spread is getting kind of absurd.

I think an entirely Hiro-based spinoff would do very well.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I didn't hate this episode at all. In fact, I thought it was pretty awesome and a good return to form. Though I wish they'd explain how it is that, even though he has Claire's ability, Peter can still be killed. I'm sure they've got a reason, they just really need to be better at expressing it..
I actually like what they're doing to Peter. It's giving him an interesting story arc. Instead of one just consisting of him being stupid, this one will consist of him being stupid, while struggling against the "hunger". And even though the old "we've seen the future, now we have to stop it" formula is getting old, this episode served to actually make it kinda interesting again. And the writing was somewhat better. The dialog wasn't quite as cheesy, the character's actions made a bit more sense. So I'm encouraged overall.

I just remembered that they already established that Peter and Claire can be killed by sticking something through their brain stem, but they come back to life if it's removed. So I'm going to assume that Claire put a bullet in Scarface Peter's brain stem, and left it there, with explicit instructions to anyone else involved not to remove it.
And future Sylar exploded with Ted's power, so I think he hasn't lost anything.

Peter can be killed. He only ever revives from death if Claire is around, because her ability is automatically duplicated in him. Every other time he's used the regen power he's still been conscious enough to think about Claire (or Adam now) and thus activate that power.
Basically Claires regen is automatic, Peters isn't. He's still empathic remember. Granted I haven't seen these latest episodes yet so I don't know the exact details of whats gone on.
