OOC: Actually, I may have found a way to kep being here almost as much as usual...we'll just have to see.
BIC: Wolf knew that time was of the essence, and that he should go after Katlin right now...but Jade was right...he needed rest. I haven't slept in almost 24 hours...I need to take a break. Otherwise, I could screw up at the wrong time. He walked into his quarters and locked it. He also disabled his PDAP and radio. He practically collapsed onto his bed and passed out. *** "Should we move her? What if he knows?" Smith asked Mastermind "No...there was too much interference at the mansion...there is no way The Runner could have tracked her. Still...I am sending you into the real world to guard Installation 04 just in case. If the Runner should show...do not fail to terminate him." "I will not fail this time. He will die." As Smith began to vanish into a stream of green symbols Mastermind called out one more thing. "Don't forget. If the need should arise, you have clearence to activate Project: AKIRA." "Excellent." Smith said as he vanished. *** Beowulf, acting in stealth scan mode, scanned the data on the Installation where Katlin was being held. He got as much data as he could without risking discovery, and he quicky vanished back into cyberspace just as silently as he had arrived. He took care to cover his tracks, visiting many irrelevant sites in order to throw off any traces put on him. Leave nothing to chance...I can't put any more risk on an already risky mission

"What like me finding out." A chibi pixelated coyote said as it popped next to Beowulf. It appeared to be doing the "Cabbage patch". The clone appeared to be only 2D.

OOC: Oh, hell.
BIC: Beowulf stared at the clone. Coyote, he's everywhere you don't want him to be Rather than attack the clone. Beowulf decided to at least attempt to reason with it. "Look, this really doesn't concern you...so what do you want?"

"I'm here to deliver a message from Grandpa." The 2d clone said. "You see I'm a copy of a copy. Could you turn me so I can look at you. It's getting hard to see you at this angle."

Beowulf shrugged and turned the coyote clone sideways so that head-on, he appeared as a straight line. "All right...now what exactly is it this message from your grandfather?"

"He says he understands your boss's plight, but more importantly he wants to humiliate Captain Stinky. So he's going to send two 'specialists' to help you and your boss guy to rescue what's-her-face."

OOC: Stick with me on this one...
BIC: Beowulf paused at the offer of specialist assistance...from Coyote of all people and AI. Hmm...Coyote must be royally pissed that Mastermind would attack him. Anyway...these specialists. On the one hand...specialists could really help us out in rescuing Katlin...but then again...she's in an installation in Massachusetts...wheras Angel is being held in a heavily guarded base in Moscow...who needs more help from Coyote's 'specialists'?" Beowulf decided to at least ask who the specialists were. "Well, the thing is we have two bodies to rescue. One of them is in Moscow...at the HQ for the KGB if you can believe that. The other...the one you refer to as 'what's-her-face', is being held in a less important installation in Boston. If I knew what these specialists' skills are...I could better assign them to our missions. So...what exactly are they capable of?" OOC: Just a reminder, both bodies are located in the real world, so any AI based assistance would mostly be for disabling security and the like.

Beowulf sighed. Refusing Coyote's offer would only piss him off more than he already is. Wolf will be pretty mad that he will have to work with Coyote...but maybe even he can see that right now...we need all the help we can get, even if we're not sure what that help is.
He faced the clone. "All right. Tell grandfather Coyote that we are thankful for his assistance in this matter, and we gladly accept his specialists. Wolf doesn't know when he's leaving for the installation, but somehow I have a feeling your grandfather will know when we leave anyway. So I'm guessing we'll be meeting his specialists there." With that, Beowulf turned and vanished back into cyberspace, heading back to the Cyber Force HQ.

Offically "Down with the Sickness"
|
OOC: I'm sorry. I just like the name...
Monk stirred a bit and opened his eyes softly. "Am I..." "Yes... you are here again. The hospital room." Monk looked away, closed his eyes and grinned. "I spend too much time here. I don't have any time to go out and find a date." The Doc let out a small laugh. "You? I wouldn't think you would have such a problem." He stood up from his chair and looked down on Monk. "How is everything?" "Well... I think some bones are bruised, and the muscles are a little tight, sore too, but nothing that a few hours rest can't fix." "Oh no! You get the full 48 hours at least Monk!" Doc pointed a finger. "But Doc... I have stuff to do..." "Nope. Actually, we're in kind of a lull right now. There is no pressing matters, so you are to rest here and recoop your strength." "I'm good." Monk was getting a little agitated. "I don't care." The doc gave the same emotion. "You are to stay here and rest. If I have to, I will get the straps, and lock you into bed, but that is uncomfortable. You need to rest." Monk sighed and rested his head deeper in the pillow. "You know... sleep doesn't sound that bad right now..." He could feel every pain in his body almost melt away. "Mmm... This actually feels good." His legs were now nonexistant, and his hips were vanishing fast. "Dr. Oedupe..." "Yes Monk?" Monk felt his arms melt into space, "Unless someone is dying, or someone I would die for... I do not want to be... disturbed..." His head was the only thing he could feel. "Don't worry. I'm gonna make sure no one inturrupts you're sleep. In 2 days time, minimum, you will be up on your feet and fightin' the good fight." "Thank you Doc..." He head, melted into the pillow, his eyes now the only thing sitting on them, "Thank you..." And darkness finally enveloped him, sleep coming all over his body. He never felt so good in his life...
