Yeah, they aren't bad at all if you're able to talk your way in.
I'm of the opinion that most of these people just never bothered doing that/getting their speech high enough to.

Eh, I've checked around and it seems to be a well documented glitch.

Well then, that sucks. I guess I got lucky.
I just set up Tenpenny Tower for a massacre. Now it's time to try and find Rockopolis and Argyle. Also: has anyone run into the Brotherhood Outcasts yet, and if so, are they story-important? I'm not all that far into the main storyline, so a yes/no will suffice. Cheers

Well, my speech is at 15 and I don't have that perk, so maybe good karma can do it as well.
(I'm surprised at how much I can get through even with low speech. The only quest I've had problems getting through has been the android one.) |

Their HQ is a fort a little more than halfway between Megaton and Tenpenny Tower. They basically just trade medkits and drugs for technology like power armor, laser rifles, etc.

I think that "200 different endings" business from Bethesda was complete malarkey. Near as I can tell there are three different segments to each ending: Your Karma (3 parts), whether or not you throw the switch/who throws the switch (3 parts), and what you do with the FEV (2 parts). All the combinations of those factors don't come anywhere near 200. What am I missing?
Also, has anybody managed to complete the game with neutral karma? Easier said than done, I realize. Oh, one more thing; is there a good place to get ears for the contract killer? Like, getting fingers for the regulators is easy as there are raiders and talon mercs everywhere and they respawn constantly. Is there some place with good people that respawn constantly?
