Yeah they cut the last few seconds out of that cutscene.
What's supposed to happen is that you're looking at the big green brown cloud, and then behind the Space Marine rises a Tyranid Lictor. The Space Marine gets an irritated look on his face and the cutscene cuts away.

I've been playing as random for a few rounds. I don't feel like I've quite got the hang of Tyranids yet even though the game I rolled ravener alpha, the guys who beat us said I was their biggest problem.
Orks I feel comfortable with Kommando Knob - the camo upgrade that lets you be stealthed forever is a must. Rokkit boys are also good, since they can hurt vehicles and their special ability is an artillery strike. EDIT: Also it turns out that if a synapse unit dies, they send out a "psychic shockwave" that's basically like a grenade that only hits gaunts and rippers. THIS really makes me want to play the game now. And also to have one of these to drive back and forth to work in every day.
