Trailer!

Seriously, I watched it half an hour ago and I still have a hardon.

That shit looks like LinkHeart -- The Zelda of the Ring.

I'm not sure at this point how they'll bother with lowly concerns with 'continuity' and 'where in hell the game is actually set given that Wind Waker left Hyrule sunk beneath the ocean and according to Miyamoto there's two different timelines now and who in the hell knows what's going on'.

But all things considered, for once I just can't seem to care.

What's funny is, even though the visual style is different (NOT cel-shaded) it seems that they are using similar character designs, at least for those Goblins in the trailer. They have the same basic design but different coloring, so that it isn't cel-shaded. Link also still has those "special" attacks where he presses A to do something kickass. It's almost as if they were working on the game using the WW engine and visual style but switched it over to something reminescent of OoT after the whole "owtf this cartoony style is for kidz i want adult link!" backlash.

Actually, that's exactly what they're doing.

Personally, though, I'm disappointed that it isn't cel-shaded. I absolutely loved the art style in Wind Waker. Go figure.

Wind waker was not crap jst because its cell shaded, Jebus people Wind Wake is considered one of the most graphically impressive game. Everytime I see an award for best graphics, or a show counting down the games with the best graphics Wind Waker is in the top 3.

Also who cares about continuaty in Zelda games, most of the time the storylines are completely unrelated, or is Princess Zelda just that unlucky to be captured a bajillion times, and for some strange reason Link never remembers who she is. A true Zelda sequal would be nice, but some games can't have a successful true sequal (Here's to you FFX-2) maybe Zelda can (Advent Children has restored my faith some) but then again maybe not

OK, first, the cel-shading in WW as awe-inspiring. I felt like I was playing a cartoon. A very easy cartoon. My main gripe was the difficulty level. Maybe you can die in this new one, that would be nice. This new one isn't cel-shaded, no biggie. It just looks more EPIC thanks to the new graphics.

Timeline. I believe the Legend of Zelda is a legend. There is a hazy idea of a timeline because we are getting the end versions of legends, which have been changed with time. There are so many dfferent versions of so many myths that I can see LoZ as such. And I know that's just an excuse to not care about continuity.

This site is attempting to connect the timelines of the Zelda games. And I never said the WW style was bad; I myself enjoyed it immensely. I was commenting on the reaction that many people expressed over the cel-Shaded style.

I love Miyamoto. If I were female I would take his frozen seed and enough pills to make dozens of new copies of the guy.

I also can't wait for the horse battling... I wonder if Sheik will have any part? I didn't see her/him in the trailer. (I know Sheik is Zelda, but she's always referred to as a he in that guise..)

As far as I've heard, they are making a cel-shaded sequel to wind waker, as well as this new game. Both should be using the same engine, so I assume that gameplay will be very similar.

Well trying to connect the legends of zelda titles, is likeing trying to connect the final fantasy games, only easier due to repeating characters. I mean I saw some pretty good theories connecting the final fantasy games while reading Twinking out, but all of them had some errors in it. Just like fanboys are going to find errors in that site.

I loved Wind Waker, but Reborn is making me salivate(sp?). Miyamoto-san is a genius, all of his games are good to me (I even gave Pikmin a try). I just hope that Reborn doesn't do to Zelda what Phantom Menace did to Star Wars.
