in Canada, a decent set of dice is 10-14 bucks. the books are 45 dollars each, and computer randomness is like me saying, "i am mentally rolling a d20 for hit... *looks at cleric* by the way, do you want to se a movie later?" LoL computers are not truly random, they can only do what there programmers can. Drunkness can actually be a good thing-- drunken master from the complete warrior, gets great bonuses, and my drunken paladin got +2 dex, -2 INT, WIS, CHA when he got stone drunk. so he couldn't heal- he was hard to hit with him tumbling all over the place. (he died by lightning bolt from his God [st. Cuthbert] for stealing booze)

Paladins can get drunk....just not too often.

reality_deviant, I was wondering if you could tell me more about the Eberron campaign setting, it's premise, theme, etc. I realise you may have covered it earlier, but I have a couple of questions about it in particular -

I noticed things called Warforged Titans, and they were billed as being the signature creature of Eberron. Why is this the case, pray tell? Is Eberron a Magitech setting?

Also, the warforged. What are they? Are they similar to incarnate constructs from Savage Species, in that they are sentient golems?

No, it isn't. They are just encouraged against it since they can be tricked into doing evil while intoxicated. It's more of a 'can, but shouldn't' situation.

besides, getting drunk in roleplays are fun! and when you have your team doing fire shots (element drinks from snapple, the only way to go, i have stock LoL) we do chugging contests.and in the latest dragon magazine, i saw a big ad for Dragonmechs, which upset me. what is the point of a mechanical dragon? don't we have enough dragons? (with the exception of race dragons, like troll dragons, elf dragons, {which more or less exist, called arboreal dragons] you know. )Ebberon takes away magic options, which i don't like too much... i think it is set to a point when magic is rare, and most people live by the sword, and magic swords. spellcasters are rare, and magic is in the hands of a shotgun, (or a +4 Gattling gun, heh heh) anyway, voicing again. and Robbing the little old lady of her bottle of gin got me smote. great way to go.

They didn't list Gats, but in Dragon this month, they did list guns, and that you could enchant them just like ranged or melee weapons. I still don't allow anyone to use them but gnomes.
and as an after thought, i would like to note that everyone here didn't consider the fact that i robbed an old lady of her gin was the reason i got smote. you just thought it was because I drank. nope. get your character rip drunk. it can be fun.

I did that with my Barbarian/Frenzied Berserker who specializes with cleaving. He came to being the only person in the village other than his party, and the cleric was reattaching the bard's arm.
