i didnt want to start a whole new thread for this so i figure ill make an opportunity to say it here: Whats the point of closing a thread after 50 posts? I mean, if the thread is so popular, i dont see the point in it. It would probably be better to just let it be until it wears itself out. just wondering.

*edit* would i be considered cute? or hot? or anything of the such? anyone?

You're cute, but in the "baby bunny rabbits" sort of way.

Viper is cute in the "I wanna hop all over you" sort of way. :-P

And threads are closed about X number of posts because it's easier to sort throught them that way. Otherwise, VB goes 1, 2, 3....15, 16, 17, and it's difficult to reach the middle posts.

Mager, I'm surprised you weren't familiar with the rule from the old forums. Already people have started to complain about clutter. Locking topics after 50 posts sometimes cuts down on new ones being made in their place (unless the thread is popular) and it also means people don't need to scroll through pages of stuff to get to view what they want.

I was thinking this could probably be stickified? I mean, Post Your Pic is similar to the Introductions thread, it's evidently quite popular, and on the old forums we had one of these pop up like every two or three months.

Though it could be a bitch on people's bandwidth. Anyways, just a thought.

And the very moment I get hold of a digicam and webspace, I'll post mine, yes.

I didn't do the lightsabre in Photoshop. I don't even know how to do lightsabres in Photoshop. I used Micrographix Picture Publisher, not because it's a great program, but because it's the one I have and it came with my scanner.

Now that I have a digital camera, I'm thinking of setting up a booth at a farmer's market or something where I could make a lightsabre pic for people for like $5 a pop or something.

Over the 'net, I do it for free, you just have to send me a pic and tell me what colour you want.
